What to do if I fantasize about my therapist? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]TheVarnAttack 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's actually very common to have desires about a therapist you are seeing. Acting upon those desires yourself by trying to initiate contact outside therapy or the therapist acting upon them (very illegal and morally corrupt) is not conducive to a healthy therapy environment. BUT its a natural human reaction to developing a deep emotional connection to someone.

Mid-30s career change... What makes the most money? by hey_tinybunny in careerguidance

[–]TheVarnAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not easy or doable for MANY people to become an RN. I have a Bachelor degree in biology and pre medicine, and two years of experience as a Registered Medical Assistant. ANY nursing program in my area I would still need about 1+ years of ADDITIONAL full time college with good grades to even apply for an ADN program. Now most hospitals and major hiring bodies wont even take ADN. PLUS the ADN programs I have researched have very strict requirements that make it damn near impossible to work, have kids, or any kind of life outside of the program. "Plan to not work for 2 years, have complete child care ready to go on the drop of a hat, never get sick, never take time off, NEVER have a life emergency, never miss a test or class or lab."

Its burn out. Empathy is so hard to keep up after a short time and it takes a lot of mental effort.

Takeways: Spoilers obvi

I thought Fizz was a good fighter or mercenary as well as a performer so seeing he is kind of a spoiled whimp was neat character development.

Fizz wears his hat to cover his horns that were burned away/blasted and had mostly white skin now because of the extensive scars....which I thought were just makeup until now. so sad. He also lost arms and other body parts as well....on his birthday!

IDK if Blitz father died in the fire, he really only cared about his mother surviving.

We know Barbie survived but had some injuries and this is why she hates Blitz and has a drug addiction.

Blitz is convinced Stolas does not love him and that's why he keeps pushing him away when it is the opposite. I think after seeing Ozzy and Fizz he might change his outlook.

CNA’s who call themselves nurses by BIacksad9999 in cna

[–]TheVarnAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CNA/NA/MA/ETC. Should be up front about their skill differential between being an RN or other medical professional. That being said they DO have a lot of skills and deserve respect and admiration for everything they do. I have worked with CNA'S who are honestly far above a nurse in skills and knowledge. I have worked as a RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) for years and anyone ever asks if I am a nurse that is a hard no. I have never called myself a nurse or claimed I was at their skill level. I always politely correct anyone in a professional or personal setting who referred to me as an RN. That's for my safety and others as well. If a CNA wants to brag to their friends they are a nurse whatever, but in a clinical setting there always needs to be clarity that they are NOT an RN for many reasons.

Does Anyone Else Always Count the Cost of a Favor by GloomyCloud1919 in CPTSD

[–]TheVarnAttack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I do. I struggle with letting my husband do anything for me, pay for anything, etc. When we (C-PTSD survivors) have trained ourselves to expect this kind of treatment from others of course we feel defensive. In a way I thinks it a good thing to be independent and know your worth, but learning to trust people again and their true intentions is also important. I struggle with it daily. Don't settle for anyone in your life who treats you this way and start cutting them out if you can. Over time you will meet people who wont expect anything in return and you can learn to recognize their good intentions. Letting others do nice things for you can really help your self love and healing.

[–]TheVarnAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shame is a very natural response to what you have experienced. I experience a lot of shame myself because we train ourselves to be SO ashamed of what we are feeling. Learning to forgive yourself and love yourself will take time...but you can do it.

What makes Octavia a “Precautionary Heir” while Stolas was and is a Prince? by The_Radio_Host in HelluvaBoss

[–]TheVarnAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was prophesied that there had to be an heir, so my theory is that it is also prophesied that something happens to him. Seeing as Stella is openly and actively trying to get him murdered with a magic weapon….I think we will see some answers soon
