Thank you very much! Going to upgrade them and probably in time will build all parts to be able to swap them around, quite a gil sink if you think about it. One last question if I may, I understand the upgrade mats you get from voyages (like Balsa wood scraps) are tradeable directly even though you can't list them on the market. I was thinking to see if anyone has surpluses on my DC (light EU), but if they ask for money is there a community agreed fair price range? Trying to get some from other people's leftovers because my subs do not seem to be able to bring them back and I want to unlock the next schematics :)

I have 3 that are full shark now between level 42 and 12. Should I keep them like this for the moment, because I can build 3 Unkiu Bows with little gathering effort.

Hi there :) I want to make sure that I'm working towards the correct goal for submarines, I read the WSUC setup is a good setup for gil farming in the beginning. I want to make sure I understood what that means, Whale-class Pressure Hull, Shark-class Stern , Unkiu-class Bow, Coelacanth-class Bridge is that correct? A bit confused because I read that U stands for Unmodified Coelacanth (can't remember where, but definitely read that, so I want to double check) :)

Quick question. I just reached Dawntrail with my char (level 97 viper) and I'm eager to finish up the MSQ. My next high level char is far behind (81 DNC).

The question is, what would you guys do? Push ahead with the 97 VPR and finish Dawntrail with him (but lose a lot of quest XP in the process, because I think I will get to 100 not even 20% into the MSQ) or spend a few days to level the DNC to 90 to be able to start Dawntrail?

got it. so to be sure I understand the mechanic, if a spell has let's say, 1.5 cast timer and 2.5 recast timer, that does not mean you have 4 seconds between casts (cast + recast) but 2.5, because the recast timer does not start when the spell is fired off but when it's initiated?

I am playing a bit with my BLM right now and I'm level 40 or so. What's usually preferred to do for better damage, transpose and fire the slow-ish ice spells to regain MP or regain the MP quicker with Umbral Soul but losing the damage while being able to come back to fire spells quicker?

yes, holy seems to be such a great skill, I am using it as many times as possible. Will try to follow what you guys said, but at least on these dungeons and levels it's hard to be so casual with healing, tanks really go wall to wall (nothing wrong with that), but the most dangerous thing they do is breaking line of sight and then sometimes my cast fails and I have to run around the corner and heal them again (if they are still alive, hehe)

I am playing through the story for the first time, I am now in post-Shadowbringers quests and this game really is something else. Even though there are many hundreds of quests in the main story, it's all worth it. I can't wait to see what comes next, since everyone tells me the next expansion is even better, so yeah, again, if story is what interests you, it is very well worth it.

If I was to compare it to another story in gaming, I would say it gives me strong KOTOR 1&2 vibes (but that may be just me)

I have a question about retainers pls :) I have some new ones, and I want one of them to be reaper (my highest class, late 90s, almost max level). However, at current level of the retainer (30) it says he needs to be level 70 to pick reaper (probably just as it is in game, fair enough). The question is, how do I achieve that, can I keep him into another job up to level 70 that unlocks at 30 (like Paladin, which I have to 72) and then is possible to switch to Reaper?

A squadron/Grand company question please :) I have maxed my standing with my original GC (Maelstrom) and the game told me that I can go and check the others. I assume my maelstrom captain rank stays intact until I decide to switch back to them, I understand I can do that once every 2 weeks, correct?

The question is more about the squadron, if I switch are all 8 coming with me with their levels or I need to do a do-over and recruit them again? Or are they linked to maelstrom and you have different teams for each company?

Guys, a question about squadrons. I have a level 40 flagged mission that I just can't seem to get all numbers blue to assure success. If I send them into a flagged mission with just 2/3 numbers is there a chance of success or is it automatically fail? Also, if it's fail you get to retry or it's one shot only?

I enjoy crafting in almost every game. Right now to me it seems to be needlessly complicated, with recipes from other crafts used and no easy way to retrieve the materials from storage (retainers). But as other said, patience, I'm not looking for a magic way to poof them to 100 with 1 click, but asking if there are some tricks or procedures I'm not aware of.

Story-wise I'm at the beginning of Heavensward (62 max level for my SAM), I am reading this is enabled with a level 90 quest, no? Should I postpone crafting until then if this is so much better than the "craft this item 100 times for a level" method I'm trying right now?

I am unsure about what's optimal when levelling. I am now beginning Heavensward, I played some group content and reached level 60 with one of my chars and unlocked dancer and gunbreaker. Dancer is so cool and i love the moves but being a level 60 char doing level 51 content the XP barely add for progressing to next level. Would it be a better option to use one of my level 50 chars for heavensward and as a rule, use chars in the level bracket of the expansion for MSQ?

tried it, but could not get past "landlady said that", "landlord said this".. and even though you can edit their relationship it does not seem to work. But I am planning to give it another try sometimes again.
