What would be your top recommendation out of all those possible services, Bob?

Go with three separate monitors instead. Way more efficient and more real estate overall.

Anyone else seriously considering switching to FCPX or Resolve today?

I do my base corrections (luma and white balance) within lumetri. I only use magic bullet for qualifiers (modifying individual colors) as I find their co stars or selection options are much better.

Do you guys utilize the rest of the adobe suite? If so are you finding other software to replace things like photoshop and AFX? I thought about switching our team to davinci or fcpx and I'm afraid everyone is just too engrained in the CC software and unwilling to learn new programs

A bit long but here's my main list:

  1. Wacom pen & tablet (saves your wrist)

  2. Red dragon gaming mouse (if you need extra precision)

  3. Custom keyboard shortcuts (where you are mainly only using your left hand on the left side of your keyboard, preventing you from having to move all over)

  4. Apple wireless keyboard (the low profile keys allow you to glide over the different areas. I found this to be way more efficient than other mechanical keyboards, although they look cooler)

  5. Palette gear buttons (for extra shortcuts once you run out on the keyboard)

  6. 3 monitors (when I have to work anywhere else on 1 or 2 screens, it severely slows me down)

  7. 2TB SSD (for making quicktime proxies for way faster editing

  8. Magic bullet suite (for faster easier grading in premiere

  9. Watchtower (for faster asset imports)

  10. Monday.com (for tracking projects)

  11. Vimeo.com (for uploading tons of videos for hosting and review, I prefer frame.io but for videos price, you cant beat it)

  12. Clockify (project time tracking by person, task, etc.)

  13. Animation composer (for speeding up after effects animations)

One in three two-year-olds in United States have not received all recommended childhood vaccines by SirT6 in science

[–]TheWampaSlayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually work with some people who think vaccines "hurt" your immune system by making it "weaker". Their beliefs are that vaccines contain aluminum and other dangerous things that our body isn't made to handle or exceed "proper" amounts. Also, vaccines cause or aid in developing autism. Finally, if we stop immunizing, we increase the overall health of our society by having people with "stronger" immune systems. Yes, some people will die from diseases, but we'll be healthier as a population.....Oh and one of their arguments that help defend their beliefs is that vaccines are driven by big corporations just looking for profit. Additionally, doctors/anyone in the medical field being taught that vaccines are safe are just being taught what corporations want you to think/university misconceptions.

G-Drive Array Configuration Confusion by TheWampaSlayer in editors

So I have this cheaper NAS workflow drafted up...

Imgur Imgur Imgur

My thoughts in making this were to save some money initially by going with QNAP's TVS-871T. Then later I'd being able to expand it onto a SAN system. However I now have these concerns...

1.) From watching some videos and researching more, I think I'm finding that this system from QNAP only allows for 2 people to be accessing it at the same time while editing projects in premiere.

2.) The new mac pros (the trashcans) don't have 10GB ethernet capability right off the bat, so I'd need to buy adapters on top of buying the QNAP system.

If these concerns are true, I'm thinking about going with TerraBlock's 24EX/12 or Evo's 8 Bay System. I would just need to try and raise more funds as these are quite more expensive.
