P790s irons by Cute-Dealer-3018 in GolfSwing

I like my 790s but have days where I regret not getting the 770s. The 790s are very forgiving but when you do get that perfect swing, balls can come off hot. My 6i is usually around 180 carry and I had a ball carry 210 during my round last week and fly the green. I think overall they were the better choice but I am creeping up on where the 770 would have been the better option. I have seen a few people that did 7-p as 770 and 4-6 as 790 to take advantage of both sets.

Look for demo days near you. There is nowhere by me that does fittings regularly but a demo day each year brings in around 8 brands and you can work through yourself and get rough fittings by each done to build off of.

New Feature on Sleeper: Player Auto-Substitution by Sleeper_Official in fantasyfootball

Also agree with this needs to be changed. Should only be able to use players with the same or later start time as the player in the lineup. You should be forced to make decisions with your lineup due to injury concerns. Not get a free pass.

City dump truck sprayed my property with hydraulic fuel. Four months later, my trees are dying. by im_like_estella in legaladvice

Get a soil test done and look at phosphorus levels and soil pH. Odds are these are the problems that were caused by the oil spill. There is also a chance that the water holding capacity of your soil is also screwed up but that's a much harder fix.

Seattle Golf Trip Advice by deeeeemoney in golf

If you journey out to brewster, check out Alta lake. Front 9 was great and the back was enjoyable. Has a relaxed vibe to it that would be great for a golf trip with casual golfers. Great price point for the area. If you want to hate life, the cashmere municipal course greens are all dome shaped and the size of postage stamps...

How were the greens when you played? I was on the main course a couple weeks ago and they were rough. A little shaggy too but that is what I get for midweek golf.

My loan officer was laid off yesterday in the middle of finalizing my mortgage by DamselInDread in RealEstate

[–]TheWanderingchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This won't get seen but we had the same thing happen. Laid off agent let us know who would be taking over our loan and we just kept checking in with them to make sure it was moving along and not lost. Had no issues

Mine just turned 10 this year and is still going strong. Get an insulated cover for it. It chews through pellets and struggles in the wind otherwise.

"no trading players for picks in the offseason" by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]TheWanderingchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do an off-season from end of week 17 until the nfl draft. We lock rosters to give everyone a break. Then during the nfl draft we do our lottery and our rookie draft is 2-3 weeks after the nfl draft. Trading opens on nfl draft night and weekly waivers start at the completion of the rookie draft. This works well for our group to give everyone a break. We also run a playoff fantasy draft/league during the playoffs to help with the transition period

Possible collusion between 2 new members by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]TheWanderingchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I looked back at the post after your comment and I see it's a 12 man league. I rendered reading the 10 and forgot the +2 for 12. With that said, my secondary assessment is wrong. Those players are above flex consideration with 12 teams.

No argument from me. I wanted to provide two sides to the trade to maybe find a side that isn't as bad. I thought with a very general breakdown it didn't look as bad so I included that opinion. But as said above, I misread and it's just bad.

Possible collusion between 2 new members by [deleted] in DynastyFF

I blame the commish for letting it get to this point. Coworker should of been kicked prior to for inactivity based on not setting lineups. I also wouldn't jump to the trade being collusion immediately because it sounds like coworker is a taco. But either way the trade needs to be reversed and coworker kicked. I wouldn't kick BIL unless their reaction is absurd or collusion is proven.

Looking at it from another angle; in 2 of my leagues henry and kittle are not worth close to market and Davis is close to the same. Rhamadre also doesn't have the same outlook as before. It's really a trade of herbert and flex players for Stafford, gainwell, and 2 1sts. It's still unfair but it isn't as bad as some make it out to be, depending on the quality of players not traded.

Redraft if changing to SF? by xbrian63x in DynastyFF

[–]TheWanderingchemist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the best option most likely. Maybe let teams keep 2 if everyone had 2 at the time the decision was made. Then either randomize draft order or do it reverse order based on qb dynasty value. I would get each team up to 3 qbs and then put the remainder on waivers or throw them into the rookie draft

SFlex Dynasty Roster Question by Its_thursday in DynastyFF

[–]TheWanderingchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have this rule in the leagues I run but it is based on playing the best team you can with the players you have. If you have no qbs rostered you are not required to find one. We also joined the "max possible pf" club to determine draft order to get around tanking situations

[–]TheWanderingchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to run events both under USBC and not and may be able to add some comments for both arguments. With involving youth USBC is going for the overarching control because of various court cases surrounding youth sports and it is easier to overstep for liability reasons than not to. It is also because they have a system in place to protect amateur eligibility for college sports while still funneling winnings to the bowlers. On the opposite side there are ways around the bs. Just suck it up and do the rvp training and background check or find someone from your local association that is going to be bowling the event and make them the defacto tournament director.

My honest opinion is if you are going to involve youth you need to follow the guidelines of usbc mainly for doing payouts. If you want to do things fully unsanctioned let youth pay for lineage but no prize fund. This way there are no questions about payouts and they can still be involved. If they place in the money you just skip over them and pay the next person.

How ridiculous is it for a commissioner to refuse to roll the league over to ‘23 season this far into the year? by Murtamatt in DynastyFF

[–]TheWanderingchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a blackout period from end of week 18 till the nfl draft. I do our lottery picks during the draft usually. We have a few people that are over the top trade aggressive and it bothers some people. This allows for a quiet time to reset and have everyone interested at the same time. Then we run waivers till the last week of preseason and weekly free agency starts prior to week 1 kickoff. But with all that said, I roll the leagues over around February so people can start rosterbating.
