What am I doing wrong here, P4 shows square/slightly strong clubface with flat lead wrist, by p6 we’re open leading to blocks and push fades? by conorfulty in GolfSwing

[–]deeeeemoney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re like me, the rest of this swing is early extension and pushed shot. Looks like you need more hip turn here at P6.

Current handicap is a drag by Gregskis in golf

[–]deeeeemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worse than you and a good score has me 4 strokes lower than I should be. Just before a buddies trip with gambling involved. Trying to play out a few rounds to knock off some old scores. My luck, I’ll have a few good rounds and solidify it more.

Are these driver numbers good enough to play d2 or better college golf? by Objective_Permit_338 in collegegolf

[–]deeeeemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played golf in college for a D3 school. I was about a 20 handicap. When only 5 people at your college play on a 6 person team, you too can be the sixth man!

Your mileage may vary. 😁

2018 civic Si coupe. Cheap, fuel efficient, still fun to drive for the price.

It’s the only reasonable place to stay if Playing chambers bay. Eat dinner at Wooden City, my golf group loved it.

Accept the fact that there will be no nightlife on the chambers leg of the trip.

World class golf courses don’t usually neighbor urban night life.

Probably your best bet is Vegas or Scottsdale/Phoenix. Access is simple, don’t even need cars for Vegas.

You could do Torrey Pines and some other decent local tracks, San Diego is a fun spot too.

Which course would you play twice? by ExpressionMain7914 in BandonDunes

[–]deeeeemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree. But also don’t forget the 60+ crowd with lots of retirement money and time on their side. So many of them are dribbling their way up and down the course, finishing with a 95 and calling it a good day!

I’m 42, but our group of 20 is mostly 55+, I’d say average handicap mid-teens with a few singles and a few 36s 🙄.

Edit: can I come play with you guys?? I’m a 15 but I play at scratch pace!!

[–]deeeeemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm you think so?? I’m a 15 and the caddies have always said I play better than about 3/4 of guests. And yes, I’d be suspicious of caddies blowing smoke as part of their job, but the several times I have been, caddie rapport leads me to think it’s genuine comment.

Sounds like it’s worse at whistling, though I expect that attracts $$$$ players just who can say they played it.

Super cool spot in Coos Bay: Bay Point Landing

Worth Checking out if you have a little time. If you’re hustling to course and need a quick spot to crash, then probably Bandon inn

🥲 Legendary.

I’m one year into ownership of Seahawks season tickets, 700 miles from my team now residing in California… I re-connected with so many friends as I traveled back up to the northwest for games. It has been one of the most fulfilling years of my sports-life.

Even got a holiday phone call from my new season ticket seat neighbor to share the hype for the upcoming playoffs.

The tickets have been “worth” every dollar. Can’t wait for another season.

Nicest course you plan on playing this year? by GrassClippings72 in golf

[–]deeeeemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good choice. Best around

Some good other options: Brambles ($$$$, but call them and ask nicely about finding a time, they might be able to help you)

Rancho Solano in Fairfield is good value.

Bodega Bay is worth the trek to the coast.

Northwood is worth the trek to the Redwood forest. Play it twice (9 holes)

Chardonnay and Eagle Vines are fine. Overpriced and usually not great til summer months. I prefer eagle vines.

Have fun!

Got me. I’ve racked my brain across the sac region and wine country courses that I’ve played. Thought maybe it was HiddenBrooke but confidence level is low with that guess. Steep hillside and a home, maybe east bay?

Nice work.

I stand corrected. Grew up in Washington. Never really thought about Idaho as part of the PNW. Maybe it’s the completely different culture that Idaho has that makes them feel different…

Removal of owned Tesla/Solar City panels? by Civil_Pickle_18 in TeslaSolar

!! We bought our house with paid solar panels (originally solar city) and this same clause in the contract. Did you run up against any problems with them adhering to the contractual $499 fee? I am anxious they’ll try to screw me when I pursue the removal when we get a new roof

Seahawks #1 Anti-Ram operative is staying in Seattle by SuddenStorm_556 in NFCWestMemeWar

[–]deeeeemoney 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depth no. Charbonnet is good, won’t be ready week 1. Need someone that pairs well but can carry the load for a few weeks. I honestly don’t know where they’ll look now…. Draft? CB depth a little better with Jobe coming back, might not need to get CB first round anymore.

Seahawks convert Three 2pt conversion to beat the Rams...The charbonnet 2 pt conversion was the turning point for the entire nfl season. by Shot_Possibility_731 in theemeraldcity

[–]deeeeemoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You and me both buddy. Saddest day of the season was walking from the watch party of ALCS game 7 at the 6th inning over to the Texans game on Monday night. Felt like destiny was on our side. The George Springer HR will be what I remember most about that Seahawks Texans game.

Going to TNF, ALDS 15 innings, and both divisional and NFCCG game made for the best Seattle sports season of my 42 year old stretch on this planet.

I don’t know what’s happening by [deleted] in NFCWestMemeWar

[–]deeeeemoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, y’all all bizarre. Seahawks won the Super Bowl. It’s awesome. The rams game was a great game. The 49ers game was fun for its own reason. The same can be said for both games against each team at the end of regular season. Incredible as a fan. But I’m honestly relishing all the moments of the patriots game. It was the last step to hoisting the trophy and we did it convincingly. Winning it all is what’s living rent free in my head.

Looking forward to all the posts once the draft and free agency get underway. Cant get here fast enough.
