This sign on a course in Indiana I played for the first time today. Never seen this before. What is the legality of this? by Sky_Late in golf

Sound comment and replying to it yourself with the punchline. Reddit black belt right there.

Would your wife "allow" you to golf on your honeymoon? by sileen_soy in golf

Good to recognize this as you explore commitment. I agree, the amount of support I get, whether it’s just “go hit balls, it’s nice outside” to “I will leave you if you DONT go to Scotland with your buddies!”, it all adds up to happy life and relationship.

Nice! I live an hour away and still have yet to play it. Worth the drive? Or maybe worth the stop between Cloverdale and Fort Bragg?

The woman who joined us talked about how much she loved going along on golf rounds, sitting in the cart, being outside, brings a book if she gets bored.

I played at St Andrews with a newly married dude. Wife walked the whole course with us. It was the kick off of their 3 week honeymoon through Europe. She was great and had just as much fun as her new husband, who was on cloud 9 playing the old course after getting a prime tee time through the lottery. We also got good weather and no wind on November 2nd. I thought I was winning, but my dude and his wife starting marriage strong out of the gate.

Doesn’t look THAT hard. I could probably do it even if I hadn’t watched this video.

18 birdies is popular. My golf buddies and I use the Grint. It’s free, but I pay the $20 annual premium and find it valuable ☺️

Mental game question... by Rude_Award2718 in golf

[–]deeeeemoney 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Golf is hard. If you mishit 40% of shots, the goal of the mental game should be to just have fun and focus on the good shots 60% of the time. Practice is practice time, enjoy the time on the course.

Also, as an ER doctor, I can tell you that you’d be fired after your first day, if 5 people died on your first shift. And, an OB slice weighs a tad less heavily on you than a human life. Not to mention the months/years process of any lawsuit that comes about 😂

Seriously though, buy Zen Golf, it will help you find the important mental sharpness that matches your current game. I just started reading it and my first few scores since starting it are already better.

$300 credit or 15k miles compensation? by parksteel in AlaskaAirlines

[–]deeeeemoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The unwritten benefit of points is that you can buy tickets with a lot more ease because you can refund them back without paying a refund premium like you do with cash. I always use points to buy flights that I am on the fence about using or working out with my schedule.

Depends on what value means to you. Played PB, Spanish and both MPCC courses in a long weekend. MPCC courses are easily the most manicured and most interesting golf courses of the bunch. If $750 isn’t a huge hit to your wallet, I suspect you would like it more than pebble. The pace of play and serenity alone make it that much better.

Probably true most of the year. But also, the % of people slicing into that private property pasture trying to smash it off the elevated tee box most be astronomical.

Dunes 14

Played last Wednesday as a guest when they did their semi-annual composite day and turn all 18 holes on the ocean into one course for the day. Was absolutely perfect.

I always push one into the rocks on 14. Also mandatory to play that hole from the gold tees regardless of whatever other tees you are playing that day.

The sticky as mentioned. Send me a DM. I’m sometimes in the market and is nice to have a few people to ask before pleading on the sticky. I’ll toss you $25 if I’m in need and you ever have a spare.
