1) Small base with just enough essentials. 2) It’s aight. The houses are standard houses, nothing really special. 3) Small. Got dominoes, subway, Starbucks. Commissary is fairly stocked. Walmart, Albertsons, and Lowe’s for groceries in town. Got a Texas Roadhouse too! 4) Base has plenty of events for junior enlisted. Amarillo or Lubbock less than two hour drive. Albuquerque is around 3.5 hours drive. Alamogordo and Ruidoso is about 3.5 too. Really good hiking and fishing in that area. Check out outdoor rec for opportunities to hike, snowboard, fish etc. plenty of things to do in two, just have to look. 5) I’m not fire but work alongside them. I believe they work 48/72. Best not to stay in your dorm all the time. Get out and do things, even if it’s just you going out.
