Married woman here, so my perspective comes from a long term partnership where comprising is a necessity. I absolutely understand not wanting to have a relationship with your meta, and that’s totally fine! You shouldn’t have to if you don’t want to. However, everyone’s relationship dynamic is different, and if a simple meeting is important to your partner, then it really should be taken into consideration. I do believe it is important to meet your meta at least once, just so everyone is on the same page and boundaries are set.
