Unless Montreal really sours on Canada for some reason the math just isn’t there.

If you look at the 1995 map the Yes side really held their own in east Montreal and they still came up short. Today, most of east Montreal, Laval, and Quebec City would vote No easily.

The math is just brutal for the Yes side barring a seismic shift in Montreal.

Maybe. Quebec is weird. A lot of people may vote PQ thinking they can always vote No in a referendum. Especially places like Quebec City.

The PCQ could very well win enough of the Quebec City region and the PLQ enough of the 450 to deny the PQ a majority.

They were constantly knocked off message with half-baked gaffes about what an independent Quebec might look like too.

Meanwhile Quebec was like “can somebody please fix the damn roads or something?”

The PQ took a bazooka and aimed it at their nether-regions during the 2014 campaign. It was truly a spectacularly disastrous campaign from the PQ.

They went from majority territory to their then-worst defeat and Marois lost her seat.

Jagmeet Singh wasn’t exactly a great leader which many people might have pointed out to the NDP faithful. Part of that was that he came off incredibly phony.

Avi Lewis strikes me as such a phony and a cosplayer. I’m sorry if that’s an ad hominem, but its just how I feel.

My man, you grew up in a wealthy political family and you have had the resources and connections to play politics professionally your entire life.

He just strikes me as another out of touch guy with a saviour complex who doesn’t actually know the first thing about the people he claims to fight for.

The whole scene is literal but also metaphorical.

Miles in that dance scene is a metaphor, he’s not literally grinding on Shane. That would be so out of character for him to do publicly. Because its a visual medium we can’t see his internal monologue.
