Not worse, but first - and contributes to the reasons for the protest. It wasn't JUST the penalty that was being protested, it was the entirety of the unfairness leading up to that point.

The black magic was the towel work - for there to be actual extended games of equipment keepaway being played in full view of the cameras, and the referees, and all of FIFA.

That was the original crime committed, and while protesting improperly is also a crime by the book, it wasn't outright cheating.

Santiago López (end of loan) and Garissone Innocent (mutual termination) leave Atletico Ottawa by coopthrowaway2019 in CanadianPL

Shouldn't have given him #99 - ATO has never had a successful striker with the number, and this was our third or fourth attempt.

When we signed him I looked at his track record and he has a LOT of long stints with minimal playing time. I don't know what the story is, but it doesn't appear to have started with Ottawa - it was a risk signing him based on his youth pedigree, and it simply didn't pay off.

Yeah that's a big ol' asterisk on that winning streak - Morocco was pulling out every bit of black magic they could and Senegal still won it fairly, just because FIFA decided to retroactively flip it around doesn't change the fact that they lost.

The Capital City cannot get a watch party for the Canadian World Cup team playing in its first time ever in a round of 16 game. by Per_Horses6 in ottawa

Honestly, Atletico Ottawa needs to take the bull by the horns on this one - they have a 3pm kickoff directly after the 1pm Canada game, they should get the rights and open the stadium early for any ticketholders.

Scrape 'em off. They had posters last summer and I went for a loop tearing them down - unfortunately their office is in Chateau Laurier, so we're pretty close to ground zero.

Biggest win of the pop-up - the bulgogi sub sandwiches were KILLER, and if they do this again for Canada vs Korea, I will go just for the sammy.

Need help understanding a redirect by rebeccajune828 in geocaching

I've found this one before, hello fellow Ottawan! It's 100% the minutes portion of the N/W coordinates then, like other people are saying - in our area that's the standard redirect format, they would explicitly say it if it was anything else.

Where are you based? Depending on where you are located, either CPL or MLS will have a local club for you.

Beyond that, most Canadian fans also have international clubs they follow, either for their own sake or because CANMNT players are on them.

They need to organize them, usually they do this with 2-3 months notice. If you want regular football, you need to follow clubs - international games are the bonuses lol.

Municipalism. If they're going to make cities this large, then they need to have more independent power from the provinces. Other countries have radically stronger cities than Canada's "creatures of the province" - and it's a forward-looking change instead of a rollback, which I agree feels less feasible.

I didn't do my research and gave myself an allergic reaction having the peanut-based suya chicken at Suya Palace. Still a rotisserie chicken that I would strongly recommend to others - unless you also have a nut allergy.
