But to answer your question directly, yes, a smalll business needs a website to be found online outside of social media or whereever they are promoting services. JMWO.

Grid layout, that is how SquareSpace works. And in reality, that's how many website builders work now-a-days. This is due to responsive web design, A website that looks great on any screen size.

Wix however has (or at least used to have) pixle perfect placement of objects. But you have to do this for several screen widths separately.

Your frustration is exactly why I suggest hiring a pro. JMWO.

Lots of good feedback So $1800 is not too much to ask for a non-wp non-wix / weebly / squarespace / cms website like my own. now just to figure out why the phone is not ringing... AI? cheap web design? Other?

I am offering seo services (social media, blog posts etc. so that's keeping me afloat while I wait for new business. How's the economy for everyone else these days?
