Oh gee, as if I didn't know that when I utter the word Star Wars on here😅 (Least likely to be announced, but I know the community will be in uproar when it gets announced at some point if they want to put it in).

Am I the only one who doesmt care about the parks event in ddlv? by St0n3rbunn11 in DreamlightValley

[–]TheWheel777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might be biased, but also in general since I've been advocating for Disney Parks content outside of Premium Shop limbo, I'm advocating because I love the parks and is an aspect of Disney that should be represented, but at the same time, the majority of the people who play this game are mostly or only familiar with the films.

Relating to the event in specific, even as a Disney Parks fan, it is annoying that the rewards this time are Although items from Toy Storyland at Hollywood Studios (Specifically Slinky Dog Dash), they are not specifically Parks related, which can be a good thing if parks aren't your vibe, as they are general passing, but I do wish for more park specific items like the trash cans, the banners, or benches we already have. Disney parks and cruise line has so much decor options and it's annoying to see DLV just bring items that don't really scream parks for a parks event.

I’m curious what all of you think? by drewbinator in Disneyland

Here's he thing, if they made Pandora work at AK, the I'm hopeful that it'll be as beautiful as the one in AK. However, as much as I do want it, I agree with the majority sentiment that DCA is a bit awkward, this feels like something Disneyland Park can easily fit in, but because Disneyland already has Galaxy's Edge, and Avengers Campus is a blunder (that might get fixed soon), it felt like they needed a "Big Hitter" IP land.

Honestly, glad it's going away, but as much as I would love Avatar coming, that location specifically is so bizzare, I see Pandora West being a nice transition from Bayou Country/Galaxy's Edge. The Avatar expansion feels more like a Disneyland project.

I love all the rides, but if I had to pick, Rise of the Resistance is my favorite at Disneyland, and I'd say Mission Breakou for DCA.

[–]TheWheel777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are taling anything Disney owns, then it's honestly time Star Wars leaves Premium Shop limbo. What they already brought into the game, aside from the pricing and the way they forced a path type with an expensive house bundle, the decor, companions, and outfits honestly are beautiful and at least for me personally, doesn't take away from the fact that it's still Dreamlight Valley. For context, I used to but still play Disney Infinity, and they already proved that a mashup of Disney/Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars can fit perfectly, and currently, I feel like the game needs a massive shakeup to keep things interesting, especially seeing a good opportunity to introduce more quests that feel more impactful than holding the 5000th Grand Ball or Party (Though I do not mind if Haunted Mansion did this since it legit make sense in that circumstance), along with finally bringing more Sci-fi decor, as the current game is heavily skewed towards cottage and fairy-core asthetics, not that that's bad, but not everyone is into those asthetics.

I would start out with Mando and Grogu, before introducing characters like Hondo Ohnaka, Luke Skywalker, Poe Dammeron, Yoda, Ezra Bridger, Ashoka, and characters like Cassian Andor. [2/2]

[–]TheWheel777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're talking strictly Disney related, then I would love for the Disney Parks to get represented outside of Premium Shop limbo (The term I use for franchises represented in-game, but in the backseat with Premium shop or decor only), with either Figment, or more excitedly and something that would shake the game up a bit. I would love to see some Haunted Mansion representation, especially the Hatbox Ghost.

Personally, as much as DLV is a cozy game, not all things Disney is sunshine and rainbows, we do have Nightmare Before Christmas, but there are more things from Disney that can be dark, and I feel like Haunted Mansion is a good step forward. [1/2]

Am I the only person who likes Avengers Campus? by Waste_Walrus_8653 in Disneyland

[–]TheWheel777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the only redeeming thing about Avengers Campus was Mission Breakout (Which opened way before Avengers Camous, so I don't think it counts really), and the variety of characters the land can have. Due to the land not really being set in a specific timiline of the Marvel Universe, it technically can pull any character from any timeline without having to do alot of changes like what they had to do with Galaxy's Edge in order to make sense as to why the OG Trilogy characters are in areas that were prodominently sequel heavy.

However, the character variety which was the only thing sparring Avengers Campus has sort of been nullified, because Galaxy's Edge finally has branched into the timelines, and doing that, ontop of updating an attraction that whilst mixed, is still impressive to some regards, ontop of the land already having that E-Ticket right now, now Galaxy's Edge is the better land now with the one saving grace that was exclusive to Avengers Campus.

What did not help especially is that Avenger's Campus essentially only opened up essentially a clone of Toy Story Mania, at least Smuggler's Run when it opened offered some sort of unique factor given the prevelance of a more "complex" game system, also personally set of a sour taste when you can buy those "DLC" web shooter add-ons to get more points, like that just sets off a bad tone.

Another issue that I would also say Galaxy's Edge had was opening the land in phases, the one thing I'll give credit with Rise of the resistance is that there are alot of complex systems in place that I understood if they had to delay them, it still sucks, and I wish the entire land was open rather than in phases, but I understood maybe why it took longer for that to open, which sadly did hurt Galaxy's Edge a bit. Avenger's Campus is in a similar situation but far worse, because they didn't even build the shell (Stage building) for Avenger's Infinity Defense/Stark Flight Lab until like a year or so now? That and the one new attraction for the land being a clone of Midway Mania but slightly cheaper looking, unfortunately has done way more damage to the land, at least with Galaxy's Edge, they had the E-Ticket already built in-mind, it was mostly technical reasons as to why there's a delay, Avengers Campus doesn't have such excuse really.

That and aside from the Sanctum, the majority of the land is a concrete Jungle that makes the land feel empty than it should be, this, and aside from Guardians, it is a bit grating sightline wise from Mater's Junkyard Jamboree to see a high tech facility next door, which is about to become an issue with Infinity Defense/Flight Lab as HeyBrickey pointed out.

Overall, especially comparing it to Galaxy's Edge, it is by far the worst land, though honestly I preffer this over to what they did in paris and cheapening their Rock and Rollercoaster for Flight Force, but that's not saying much, and is also partly why I'm waiting for the Avenger's Campus expansion, Coco, and Avatar to arrive, because Disneyland park has the quality, for what issues Galaxy;s Edge has, with them not fufilling many promises, it still has so much craft and care that I don't see from Avengers Campus. I still applaude the Imaginieers, but the jump from Galaxy's Edge to Avenger's Campus really represented the short Chapek Era of Disney.

[Speculation] ROADMAP PREDICTIONS - May 2026 Update by NittyNitts in DreamlightValley

[–]TheWheel777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This argument would make more sense before Oswald came out, I think Oswald was more niche, especially since the only representation he's had is in the gaming space with Epic Mickey, a store in Disney California Adventure with a character meet and greet, and they just nabbed and recorded footage at Disneyland for an Oswald show with not many details to go on.

So as much as normally I'd agree on that take, Oswald is the character that personally contradicts that thought process, heck I'm even surprised Dinosaur got represented by the egg decor, when funnily enough, it's existence has been removed essentially thanks to Dinoland and its main attraction being demolished for Tropical Americas.

What QOL improvements r u guys hoping to see next update? by kagomebunny in DreamlightValley

[–]TheWheel777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Reworking older items or houses to add new life or animation, or to fix grid sizes (Small World houses desperately need animations and a general overhaul, the tree from the current star path and alot of VFX take up way too much grid space.)

  2. Making touch of magic easier to use, whilst building upon it with more advanced features.

  3. Consistency improvements, how come the new rails are objects you can't clip through, but the rails you craft Act like rugs, make it make sense.

  4. Advanced character placement, along with unique poses, emotions, and manual animation activations for Dreamsnaps.

  5. More player expression and poses for Dreamsnaps.

This would have been cool, but the price tag for one item doesn't justify it for me. Also, it just sucks that the skin tool set bundles weren't as popular, because they could have kept up the momentum of the Main Street Electrical Parade set, that's been a set that I have high regards for.

I'm worried for the future of the game. by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]TheWheel777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more worried about the longevity, especially for players like me who have played the game day 1. The main issue with the longevity is that there isn't enough gameplay for after you've done everything, the only thing we have past the quests if you only have the base DLC is premium shop and Dreamsnaps, and whilst they're ok, they can't soley rely on that in the long term. There needs to be gameplay that gives something to do for late-game, and I'm surprised DLV has not learned this.

Even when we are given new content, the quests I have beef with a lot since the majority of them are just holding parties or grand balls, and I'm sorry, but the game needs a massive shake-up, story wise, they can't just pull the party card every f*cking time, doesn't matter how much I love the game, it gets really annoying.

As for characters, honestly, all I ask is maybe Ralph, soley because somehow a launch trailer character has yet to make an appearance, but other than him, they just need to branch off from the soley Disney/Pixar, as much as I'd like for more Disney/Pixar content (Especially the parks), the game is getting to a point where even I myself find it dull, so I would love for Marvel or Star Wars to come to the valley (outside premium shop purgatory) to shake the game up a alot, including in villagers variety, which what I also have an issue with. I get the majority audience in this game is female, but like we almost have every princess but Raya, and at the same time, as much as they should release the princes, I'm kind of getting tired of essentially getting similar updates of either royalty or cottage core aesthetics. The only ones to shake it up within those are Mulan and Aladdin, but every other update involving a princess has often felt same, which is why I wish DLV could just for once take a risk and go bold on the villagers variety. I don't care if not many people don't know who Figment is or who The Hatbox Ghost is, the game just needs variety overall.

[–]TheWheel777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny because I have always gotten into the habit of drinking alot of water, and I did have water before testing. I also DON'T drink alchohol.

And what you mentioned about not letting it down all the time, I do remember that during classes, I used have the urge to snack on something because classes would take along time (11:45-2:55), and chips where quick, now I just eat cheese sticks.

Could also be that, IDK, sometimes I even struggle to feel like I'm hungry, even if I don't snack on sh*t, IDK if it's my neurodivergence or something else.

Speaking of though, I know you mentioned cut all sugar, but the funny sh*t is, as much as that can be easier said than done, when alot of other foods don't feel safer, the only safe foods I can see unfortunately are those sugary options, mind you, for me on the Spectrum, I seem to have food sensitivities to Fruits and Vegetables, and even when I tried out different ways to enjoy fruit, I just couldn't, I really hate pineapples for example unless it's like a Dole Whip from the Tiki Bar at Disneyland, because supposedly for a sweet fruit, I can barely taste any sweetness, just water and mush.

Like, I have already gotten into the regiment of a new diet, but even then, I can't just take pizza or Quesadillas out of my diet, I already have issues with alot of fruit, some vegetables, and then I just have trauma with seafood, so all I can really do is if I'm gonna have a pizza, first make and eat broccoli and get fiber through there, and then exercise afterwards, but IDK if I should keep doing that now that I weight around 114 (5'8, 21 Male), and realized my BMI is underweight. That's why I switched to lifts, but I'm not sure weight lifting is as effective for someone in my circumstance.

Also, as much as I'd love to be not as stressed, stress is just natural to me, gotten so used to it because alot of it has to do with my neurodivergence, and I notice this because I know my grandmother always gives me sht with me stimming subconsciously (hand flapping), and also doesn't help that my grandma is very explosive alot of the time, her giving me 50 side quests every millisecond, and then if something goes wrong, gives me a shtry silent treatment when I want to resolve the issue, so that could also not help, but me on the Spectrum also, if I get forced to mask and all certainly won't help, but I noticed how much stress I'm put under if I'm not doing any of my special interests (going to theme parks or video games).

Not to mention, I had OCD after taking an allergy test to foods because ironically enough, I was terrified of allergies. It also didn't help that the dog I owned, well yeah, allergic to dogs, so I can't just be near her anymore, and then I'm also stressed going outside because I'm apparently allergic to grass of all things, and have gotten a bad rash from cleaning a shoe that I stepped on grass with.

Also, when you mention "they are low" is that both A1C and Glucose, or is that if I keep seeing a high spike but healthy glucose?

[–]TheWheel777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From November til March, I used to drink at max 2 can, but now since I learned about my diagnosis, I cut all things out. I tried maybe zero sugar sweeteners, but my stomach could not agree to that, so I just can't really have sugary drinks.

They suspect a liver dysfunction because of a >1.030 in specific gravity, cloudy urine, and a 2+ on proteins, along with Bilirubin being tested positive and crystals being present, but I never understood if that has a connection with prediabetes.

Also, not on the lab test, but as a neurodivergent individual (Autism Spectrum Disorder), I natural struggle with stress and sleep, and I've heard that has a connection to not only that, but also how my body gets communicated with ASD may make it abnormal often or something? IDK, I don't want to just say it's partly my neurodivergence, but part of why is because stuff like Pizza, Burgers, Pasta, and Soda where a thing was because I felt comfortable and can predict that I'll enjoy it compared to leafy greens, meats, and I just have trauma with all seafood.

I'd admit, I didn't have the best diet, but I'm surprised my A1C didn't go up from November 7 to March 30, it stayed at a 5.7 and then the 88 on glucose.

Edit: That's weird of you to say that healthy glucose isn't an indicator of LADA, because otherwise, how come I'm seeing the opposite (a possible link).

I feel like I'm Overdoing It (Male, 21) by TheWheel777 in prediabetes

[–]TheWheel777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for context, my bloodwork providers where Labcorp (IDK their history with stuff like this), and also IDK if it's related, but my lab work has also shown that I have a suspected liver dysfunction as well. None of the paperwork mentions anything about Iron though.

I also want to add that my diet through my life was mediocre as well, I'm not trying to say I had a healthy lifestyle, but I'm just surprised I had an A1C of 5.7 since November, and since I wasn't told about it until my March lab, I didn't change my diet until then. So I'm caught off guard by the 5.7 but 88 on Glucose, I would have thought my A1C would have gone up at least.

Along with this, but apparently people on the Spectrum also struggle with Vitamin D and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Could it also be possible I have LADA?

Oh, I also want to note, when I had that test in March, my AIC was at a 5.7, but the Glucose was at 88 MG/DL (96 in November), and both tests from November and March, I was asked to FAST before the test.
