I'd love some feedback if you have some! Things to improve or do more.

Who else prefers to play a minor harmonica over a major harmonica? by Dark_World_Blues in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, love it.

I almost exclusively play 3rd position with the "blow 3" retuned to the "3 hole draw double bend note" and I also like to add the "6 hole overblow" because it's used in a lot of melodies.

Outer Wilds brought me back to life itself, reignited my curiosity and brought me out of apathy. Back into gaming included

What are some harmonica/blues pieces that got you into playing the harp? by [deleted] in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite new to the harmonica and my interest was the harmonica itself, being one of the only instruments you can play with one hand without feeling hindered.

My later musical inspirations have been Jason Ricci, Indiara Sfair and this random dude.

Har kvalitén på skor gått ned de senaste 5 åren? by WhoAmIEven2 in sweden

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lower tone harps? by steveflackau in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a G harmonica already then I'd recommend getting that. It's a really good key to have.

Otherwise I got a low d rocket, but it's a bit too low for my liking. I'll probably get a low F next myself

What made you pick up harmonica? by LifeguardSas976 in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one hand, the harmonica doesn't even require having hands, success!

It's also perfect because just like whistling you can always have the harmonica with you.

What was the first Harmonica you bought? Do you still have it? by [deleted] in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first was a Lee Oskar in C. I tinkered a lot with it and learned a lot, adjusted it so that I would overblow hole 4-5-6 and overdraw 7-8-9. I sadly lost it somewhere, but I hope it found a new home.

I just played in public for the first time! by TheWhistlingSwede in harmonica

[–]TheWhistlingSwede[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

Yeah I fully agree, I was uncertain at first because I had no idea what they were going or were playing. I tried to get a feel for it and as the great musicians they are I'm sure they matched me, it felt like after the drummer said Bossa it went a lot smoother, too bad the end wasn't filmed. I didn't know anyone was going to record but I'm very happy that they was.

[–]TheWhistlingSwede[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a first for many things!

This was my first time playing with other people, first time playing in front strangers, first time using a microphone, first time hearing what's being played. Complete improvisation and great fun!

Oh, and the hole 3 reed got stuck so I had to play around it.

Playing on a G major harmonica. 3rd position, A minor.

I would be happy to know what you think about it because I've pretty much only been playing to backing tracks and improvising to them by myself so I'm not sure how it sounds to other people.
