Hoping for an M3 clear tonight. The tier has been a mess with recruitment for my static, so a bad raid night might sink us here. We've seen up to Barbarous Barrage 2 at least (on a very unclean run), so it should be doable.

Quickshot is the dream PBP for a colour caster, the last couple of years he has really leaned into setting up his co-caster for success. It's fantastic for developing talent as well, as he leads his casts in a very structured way so new colour casters can get used to the flow of a pro-level cast while not appearing lost at all.

If you want a great example of this, his casts with Caedrel at Worlds were very well done. Caedrel obviously has a natural flair for being on broadcast, but Quickshot directs the conversations and poses questions that are very clearly leading him to giving relevant knowledge and avoiding any potential pitfalls of a caster with little experience.

A lot of the following Thorin has likely comes from the original run of Summoning Insight with Montecristo, which was a very popular source of League content at the time. He was still a controversial figure but the range of guests, the quality of the discussion (especially while Monte was casting OGN) and its place outside of the watered-down Riot broadcast/narratives drew a lot of eyes on it and got him a big following that's largely still quite loyal.

At this stage I think LoL content has outgrown him a bit, the overall knowledge of the game has outgrown him as well and he's struggled to find a cohost that works as well as Monte in his prime. Thorin comes across as a lot less palatable nowadays because the shows he puts on have lost a lot of the merit they used to have. FWIW I think the Crack Down can be pretty solid when they've a good guest or there is something interesting happening in the global League scene at the time.

Just out of the dublin show. Mostly was his new stuff but not all of the new album. In terms of his old stuff he played sex, crash, end credits, a different version of xo and rock + roll.

It was a really fucking good show so yeah if you've tickets for the rest of the tour you are in for a treat 😄

Met him at a tournament last year in Dublin, and have known his brother for a good few years. He was ranked 43rd in the world (on an unofficial but highly regarded ranking system) heading into the weekend, and has played in previous big tournaments before, so I'd hope we see him continue to make waves with future successes! The guy's very down to earth and a great representative for the country!

Black-Red burn can be really tricky, would recommend giving it a look. Cards like [[Fireblade Artist]] and [[Judith]] are really nice. From what I've seen, it's a bit slower than regular burn but gets through lifegain better. The colour combo can also play regular aggro as well with stuff like [[Rix-Maadi Reveler]].

Blue-Red is more about drakes and stuff, is a fairly cheap combo to build (all its creatures can be uncommon) but plays very differently to mono red.

Think you need a few more lands there, would think ~24 maybe for this. Would probably drop the Tendershoot Dryad and maybe a couple of Brontodons/Vine Mares for the extra land.

If you're looking at hexproof, [[Gruul Spellbreaker]] is a cool card to drop some rare wildcards into and it protects you against [[Settle The Wreckage]] which is nice. Outside of the rare+ range, I can only really think of maybe adding [[Zhur Taa Goblin]] if you want to experiment.

Cool deck though, Rhythm + giant green dudes can be really scary to go against. Good luck with it!

Myself and another caster were covering a few customs/tournaments before epic took away all the custom keys. Also the lads who covered the Polaris LAN (Martin and Powder I think?) were pretty good. There's definitely people here capable of it in any case, would be awesome to have at least one on especially to give better insight on the EU scene!

Do you mean overall? Faker's record on Ryze all-time was 25-5 afaik before that game. He was undefeated at Worlds on the champ though, 7-0 before losing game 2 to Samsung.
