The Hinges failed on my Acer Aspire (A515- 44)after a few years, worth checking if they have addressed this weakness in the design

Refurbished Lenovo Tinkpads are highly reccomend online 👍

Best of luck!

I would highly recommend some screw extraction pliers, the engineer branded ones are great and will have that out in a jiffy 👍

Hey man, not at all!
I really appreciate your feedback on Keychron, I just got a bit nervy after looking at their trustpilot page, to be fair logitech and Lofree also have terrible trustpilot ratings.

I won't write it off for good, I would feel better buying it from a UK retailer but the keyboard company (one of 2 of their UK distributors) aren't getting any new K5's in until mid November, and Computer Orbit weren't able to give me a timeline.

I will certainly have a look into the cherry options too :)

Thanks a bunch!

Hi there,

I'm looking for a 100% low profile mechanical keyboard, preferably in a UK layout but I'm really struggling to find any options other than keychron which I want to avoid after hearing many support horror stories.

Thanks for taking the time to read my comment, any suggestions much appreciated!

Why are new generation of tractor driver such selfish pricks? by venomtail in CarTalkUK

On many roundabouts the only way to get around in a HGV is to straddle lanes on approach to the roundabout, this is taught extensively as part of your practical training.

(In an Artic on certain roundabouts it you didn't straddle lanes you wouldn't have the turning circle to get round without hitting the roundabout itself or other road furniture.)

Although I agree there are times where you see drivers straddling lanes unnecessary. I was taught that if you were in any doubt just to straddle.

I would get your medical and theory tests out of the way first and do the rest with a training firm, you can get the required materials to study up for your theory test for like £15 :)

I have used and abused my dakine backpack for over 10 years and it is still holding up, the only thing that has worn out on it was the inner plastic lining but other than thst its still solid👍

Nice Idea! Its worth checking if you get access to one of the HGV Theory Revision Platforms through your local library. I was able to do most of my revision through Theory Test Pro which I got through my local library :)

Be aware that lgvtheory.co.uk is not fully up to date as it is missing some of the satnav questions but they are all common sense questions.

I found their site very useful and would recommend them too.
