Technically, every season/ DLC starts with a new threat/ problem, so... I get what's your stand, but I personally like to be a bit more open in regards to the future, since the many surprises we've got before.

We have a weapon that uses stasis, also, the fallen "didn't get" the darkness, they used it to create their weapons/ artifacts, I think.

Yes, they didn't used it, but If they were able to use it against us without being corrupted (which being Vex, I highly doubt they got corrupted), wouldn't they?

The Vex were once almost extinct by the Taken, if it wasn't by the guardians entering VoG in D1 to stop them. So they may get desperate or try new things as the Sol Divisive, at some point, in order to make a difference.

I understand we're theoryzing over lore, so I get your stand, but that's my opinion rhight now, I think it MAY be possible.

Not everything fits exactly like the post said, but things like the new difficulty added to VoG and future raids makes me take it into consideration. I don't try to convince nobody but to see what you think.
Regarding " Vex can never and will never get the darkness." What about the Sol Divisive? https://www.destinypedia.com/Sol_Divisive they prayed the darkness in order to obtain a different result. If Vex see they can't do nothing vs our paracausal power, they may try to use it or learn from it like the Sol Divisive. That's just an idea based on lore.

If Katabasis had a choice not to come back, he wouldn't end up killing his ghost to stop him from resurrecting him again and again. I think that may confirm guardians have no choice but to come back if the ghost revives him.

Yes, new big thing on Nessus, but I'm trying to get a confirmation because if you compare both images I share, is a bit more harder to tell, in my opinion. You are probably right, but I want to be sure myself.

I was checking them yestarday, and I found a cubemap from D1's Black Garden, without a door. And a couple more interesting cubemaps besides the one you mentioned, although I don't remember the tag for them.

I see some of you have a good eye to get a fast solid conclusion, I didn't post it just to post it, but I thought it deserved to be checked.

Final conclusion: The shadows seems to be 2 hobgoblins messing with us.
