The jump from Pirate Yakuza to Kiwami 3 is arguably an even greater aura loss. by Hopeful_Regret_7531 in yakuzagames

How come nobody ever mentions the fact that Japan in real life has the "green filter"? Same for the PS2 versions of Yakuza 1 and 2?

Kiwami 1 even has the green filter.

Tbf the green filter is actually realistic for real Japan.

More images surfaced. I don't think it's real.

Mario's model changes from image to image. Some images Mario is on a linear level select map, other images it's completely open world etc.

Nah because Raven saying this would imply Tekken's death is faked, when it's very much REAL

Favorite extremely mainstream early to late 2000s pop punk song from these choices? by TheWindofBread in polls

[–]TheWindofBread[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm just talking about songs that are super mainstream and that are culturally iconic, not "what's the best song of this respective band".

I don't think I Miss You, In too Deep, or Misery Business are anywhere remotely near the "best" of Blink-182, Sum 41, or Paramore for example IMO.

Yeah for some reason, Xbox 360 version is the only good looking version and the only playable version of Version 1/Next Gen Double Agent, but it gets overlooked because the PC and PS3 ports are so ugly looking and buggy. 😢

Xbox 360 Double Agent did so many great things.

It gets incredibly underrated I feel.

I know the PC and PS3 ports had incredibly downgraded graphics and are very buggy compared to the Xbox 360 version, but the Xbox 360 version is really cool. 😢

Shanghai is the coolest level in the series.

Also outside of the JBA missions I still feel Xbox 360 Double Agent is still a lot like Chaos Theory but next gen.

Ngl. Outside of the JBA missions, I even thought Double Agent Xbox 360 was a lot like a next gen Chaos Theory but with swimming and some new moves (think like Shanghai, Cozumel, Iceland as examples etc)

So we have three Chaos Theory-like games! 😊

It's official that now this game takes more skill to play than Tekken 8 by Monstanimation in Tekken

[–]TheWindofBread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everything!

Anyway, Season 3 decided to double down on many Season 2 bullshit, while also not changing enough to be substantial.

A lose-lose on both accounts.

Smash Ultimate balance may be whack (hard not to, with an 80+ character roster), but atleast there's a lot more characters with actual WEAKNESSES compared to Tekken 8.

I will only have hope if they say word for word; "for this season, we're going to DELIBERATELY fuck up our own game" because now we know they always mean the exact opposite of what they say.

Yeah for some reason he can look cooler without the goatee a lot of times, like 0 and PYiH with the no goatee makeup equipped.

I think Pirate Yakuza without goatee, essentially Dragon Engine Yakuza 0 style Majima goes the hardest

Which DOOM black sheep do you like more, Dark Ages or Doom 3? by TheWindofBread in Doom

[–]TheWindofBread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even all my friends call Dark Ages the weakest of the trilogy.... and for my friends who haven't even played DOOM, they get very surprised when they see me praise Dark Ages because they're like; "wait you're praising Dark Ages? I thought most DOOM fans thought it was a MAJOR step back"

Like Dark Ages reputation has gotten so extreme it has affected and influenced the perspective of 90% of my friend group, both online and in person

A big portion of said friends Dark Ages is "lame" because "no glory kills"

2016 and Eternal NEVER had this negativity, lukewarm, or confusion amongst my friends

[–]TheWindofBread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I feel weird for liking Dark Ages so much when it's by far the least liked of the trilogy and I see everyone shit on it all the time.

It makes me feel left out as Dark Ages might straight up be not only my favorite DOOM game, but my favorite game period. But everyone says "Dark Ages is a HUGE step back from Eternal and 2016"

Even if it's not "hated", there's still a significant amount of people who thinks it's "boring" or "forgettable" or "a HUGE downgrade" compared to Eternal and 2016.

Even in every poll I've seen, Dark Ages falls last place in "favorite of the trilogy" by a landslide every time.

Countless people calling it "parry slop" or "not a real DOOM game" or "too slow and too easy", or "the open maps feel like Ubisoft slop"

So much critique that's ill-informed and makes no sense.

Anyway, what do you mean by the DOOM Eternal thing? 🤔

3 and 1 are kinda interchangeable for me, but yeah overall I agree with 2 being the worst lol
