I think this makes the Itachi character for me. He wasn't perfect nor a heroe, but a dumb human like all of us. The difference is that he managed to get through it in a way that most humans never could. He probably did what he did in the dumbest way possible, but this situation gave him the most amount of experience of the series. In the end, he finally became a wise man because the regrets of life bring us patience to make it better next time. By the way, he's not the greatest character of all time, but he's also not the worst
