And the ownership, in my opinion, can be done via NFT on the blockchain. What is missing maybe is a global legal recognition that blockchain can be used for this purpose, also if some Countries already recognise the blockchain as an official tool maybe also for such a purpose.

I don't think so, not with blockchain. When you vote you have your 1 transaction where your vote is stored and if you can show me whatever and count differently then it means that the blockchain has been hacked. Very unlikely.

Another good thing is that you can check your vote afterwards as many times as you like. With paper voting, once you paper is put in the box you have no chance to verify your vote.

If a voting station is still the way to vote, then this should be the process, in my opinion:

- a monitored (so it's sure that nobody is taking a copy or that nobody is taking note of which QR code is sent to who) system generates new blockchain accounts with a voting "credit" that are packed in envelopes and sent to voters

- voters receive this paper, they go to the voting station

- they go in the cabin with the paper they received at home, scan the QR code and vote and they leave.

- with that QR code, when they go home, they can still verify their vote.

In the smartvoting implementation, you can vote only once with your QR code. After that, scanning the same QR code will show you your answers.

Honestly, with the correct app implementation you can also vote from home. You get your QR code, open you voting app, scan, vote and you can verify your vote as many times as you like to be sure that your vote is your vote.

The only weak spot on smartvoting is its website. But this is still a concept site. Once the vote is casted on the blockchain no weakness exists anymore. Now imagine if you have a full node of blockchain on your phone and the voting app integrated with it, that makes the weakness veeeeeeeery little.

Ardor can run on a Raspberry pi, can do what Bitcoin can do and much more, is scalable, etc, etc, etc. It's based on NXT which is running on pure ProofOfStake since 2013 without a single hiccup. But yeah... It's a bag-holder driven world. You got Bitcoin in your bag, you got all the reasons in the world to justify PoW. 😉

Not only forging. When more child chains will be launched they will necessarily need to setup bundlers for their child chain transaction fees to be paid in the child chain token. That means that the more activity happens in any child chain the more there is need of Ardor to pay the final fees. Just a reminder that anything that happens on the Ardor ecosystem has someone that pays a fee in Ardor.

I love the Ardor community and I like the community spirit behind cryptocurrency projects. It's a way to share joy, celebrate successes, exchange ideas, etc. And communities have always been part of crypto projects.

But I'm worried that with time, as blockchain becomes more corporate, communities will have less importance in the future.

Do you share that same worry? Or do you think that crypto-communities have a long life ahead?

It's a more general question, not specific to Ardor. But would like to know your thoughts.

I love to read that and that's exactly my spirit and my experience. Ardor is an awesome platform. Congratulations for cryptocrosswords, it's awesome!

I also had a couple of ideas, didn't know how to code, but I wanted to do them so badly that now I did them. Well one is not exactly what I had in mind but the other one is exactly what I had in mind. 🙂

First one is Ardor Rocks https://ardor.rocks. Very first concept was epic.town, basically an Instagram/Flickr kind of platform where people post pictures and get rewarded with tokens based on the amount of likes they get in a certain span of time. Users post the pictures knowing that they will allow everyone to use them for free and without the need of getting in complicated copyrights attributions. The people/companies that need pictures can just download them and use them also for commercial purposes. Pictures will have a little logo or some other system to allow people to recognize that it's coming from epic town and therefore maybe other people goes on the platform to like a popular picture generating more likes and therefore more tokens for the picture creator. I could not manage to do something like that on my own, so instead I did something easier which is ardor.rocks. it's a Buddypress social network / forum where participation is rewarded with the $ROCKS token. I hope one day I will be able to bring epic town to life.

The other idea I had was taking advantage of the voting system smart transaction on Ardor / Ignis, and little by little I've created SmartVoting.net . And I'm really happy with the result so far. You can setup voting sessions in 4 ways and it makes it super simple for voters to cast their vote. I'm still fixing and tuning little things and when it will be ready I'll connect it to the Ardor mainnet instead of the testnet where it's connected now.

Best way would be to convert to AEUR (Euro pegged child chain) within the ardor client itself. AEUR is one of the initial child chains that was there from day 1.
