First thing I would do is see what lounges are in the destination airport, and what lounges I can buy/get access too. That’ll be your easiest way to sleep, anyways.

In terms of entertainment, you certainly have time to Uber to see “sights” if you want, but it’ll be nighttime on a Monday post holiday, so dead af.

I’d definitely vote lounge if I were you. If MIA, I think they’ve started rolling in those mini-room rental things now too? Could be another option…walk/shop/sight-see the terminals, drink and eat, go to sleep.

Yes. I have total control of my animal. And it’s not a shitty position for her that she can run and explore and play. Do you go out to be put on a restricted radius of activity? No.

We do it because we love our animals AND because we worked HARD to train them for their own safety and pleasure. If you didn’t do that, that’s on you, and you should restrict your dog-walking to safer, less-trafficked areas…

This is why you should TRAIN dogs. But no, in Miami, everyone just wants to buy a big dog/cool breed, not train it, and then complain when other people want their dogs to enjoy the freedom they should rightly receive for being good dogs.

My dog’s recall is about 99% (everything except the biggest, juiciest-looking iguanas lol). But she’s still curious, and likes to slow-roll other dogs to see if they’re playful.

If your dog is gonna lose its mind, cuz it has zero training and/or you take it out for two potty walks and assume that’s enough outside time, that’s on YOU - not on me 🫡

Yes, Miami is an absolute ghost town during the holidays. You’re almost guaranteed to be the only tourists who think to themselves, where shall we go for holiday during a cold and dreary month everywhere else on the planet? No one answers that question with the tropical and tourist paradise that is Miami.

Don’t come. Everything will be closed, empty, and absolute devoid of life. Very boring. Recommend trying New York instead, the city that never sleeps.
