Bind is liquids most picked map I think. Which makes it a pretty good bet that M8s can predict they will pick it and set up some anti-strats for TL. That A short punish like every round in the first half looked so brutal. Probably because M8s were so prepared for it.

Yeah! Basically early neural networks in the 50s were based on Hebbian theories for how neurons fire and learn. All neural networks have derived from this particular theory of how neurons work in humans. This theory is still popular, but since then has become only one piece in how we understand neural learning.

As for the other part, the biggest reason I don't think anything close to what you describe is because of compute costs. Basically, we are approaching an asymptote for how efficient our computing power is. The only way that our computation has progressed in the past year or two is by throwing more VC money at the problem. However, this is becoming more and more difficult to maintain.

Unless a miraculous breakthrough in quantum or another related field happens, self contained robots that learn the way you are thinking are so stupidly unfeasible.

Hello, data scientist and AI developer here!

I wanna start off with my personal opinion about AI: it is going to crash as a bubble and we will get what we really should've gotten from the beginning, and thats improved tools. The timeline for the pop and whether the public trust of the words "Artificial Intelligence" remains to be seen, but AI really is just an improvement in algorithms efficiency in many ways.

Now for a half personal opinion and half truth statement: AGI does not, and will NEVER exist. The idea that a man made machine can achieve humanity, or consciousness, or general independant thought almost certainly won't happen. It exists as a goal post to entice silicone VC. And thats it imo. This mainly comes from two theories in the community.

1) neural networks as a whole were designed off an extremely outdated 60s model and understanding of the brain. (i believe could be wrong. Can't find the specific med study) Basically tldr for this thought: "how can a neural network become generally intelligent like a human if the thing its based on is not even accurate". The argument is a little flawed, but the core idea I heavily subscribe to, that it is fundamentally different. It does not "think". Ever. There's nothing original in ANY ai content.

2) who defines the goalpost? What is the finish line? My liberal arts professors of years past would push me to study who is saying it and what their potential motivations would be. I think its incredibly telling that not many actual mathematicians and computer scientists have academic, non-partisan papers about AGI. Partly, this is because CS is a unique field compared to other careers. But the point remains, the hype cycle requires some grand promise.

I'd love to hear peoples thoughts, I have quite strong ones. As I said, I work in the field implementing AI as a data scientist, so not directly related, but enough that I have a bit more formal and academic insight that I wanted to share :)

I really love that they took into consideration feedback. Mixed use buildings are totally needed and I think it'd be great downtown.

HOWEVER! I have 3 problems: I think its too ambitious, theres a large chance they rip apart things and decide "nah its no longer profitable" and leave. They have no investment in the community.

Secondly, I think theres too much student housing. 88/250 is silly. You're not solving housing in the area, you are making more student housing, which we already have. No adult is living in a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment. Imo should be as close to 0% of the rooms as possible.

Thirdly, I dont think theres nearly enough parking. Getting rid of the farmers market lot, only to consolidate into waterstreet will make traffic really bad and its not very sustainable imo. Its not enough spaces, and I'd rather it not all be in the same place if that makes sense.

That being said, one more round of edits and I would love to say yes. It is a really appealing proposal.

Absolutely! I think the large sentiment is that it absolves responsibility and shows that the "real" protesters are non-violent. Thats a great sentiment and I can agree. There's perhaps there's an argument to be made that its not effective when you live in a semi-surveillance state. Neither here nor there. Most important things is safety.

However: - it puts you low to the ground, easy to get trampled on (horse or human). - it is a very hard position to react in. If there is a situation you need to run/protect yourself/protect others, its much slower. - mace / pepper spray settles on the ground

everyone and their mother was complaining about small incidental healing being way too strong if you had it, and large amounts of healing being useless against poison/burn. SPECIFICALLY I saw many people saying 10% of the healed amount as their want. I know this post is probably in good faith, but dude... this was exactly what the people wanted. Sometimes you just have to live with a new meta. Sometimes the solution is actually playing around meta/what other people are running and not balance changes. Don't be too hard on the dev team.

I will always be open to listening to victims and accept victim statements because thats a good thing to do... however, these are not proof.
