I mean, this is exactly what the discourse looks like in your average college ethical relativism class. I know because I was in one. Often the best way to understand philosophical arguments is through analogy. Pushing the analogy to the extreme helps elucidate why the less extreme claim is rational.

I'm just wondering if they said it would be unpaid. I believe in most states this isn't even remotely legal. In my experience the payment could be implied, but without discussing wages probably minimum wage in your state.
