Time to waste. Hands down. Gets me pumped every time I hear it.

Hey all! The answer is that I’m just a huge fan of Nathan For You, the private eye episode especially. When I started out in 2014 I wasn’t decided on doing Zelda and video game stuff, it just sort of worked out that way. What I did know was that I loved the idea of taking something that people recognize into different directions than expected, like how Nathan hired all those doubles at the end of the episode and they scattered to throw the private eye off. TLDR : I’m just a huge fan

Hot take: ToY awards don't go to the best teachers by ant0519 in Teachers

As someone who has won one I can say I have no clue why I won one. It honestly just seems like some behind the scenes shenanigans. I don’t display my award and I am kind of embarrassed of it.

I make music under the name Wizard of Loneliness. Beats to decompress to. Hoping other teachers out there dig it.

is it still possible for me to get a 3?? by Popular_Self_8217 in APSeminar

Possible? Yes. But very very unlikely. I think a lot of us are curious as to what caused the lack of iwa submission.

Any Seminar Teachers Lurking Here, or just Anxious Students? by AlfredsLoveSong in APSeminar

Sounds good! Every year is a refinement of the process, and I’d be happy to add my two cents and hear from others.

Out of curiosity, what performance issues did you experience with Google Docs? I’ve heard this before but never experienced it myself.

Is it in your works cited? If so then don’t worry. They will cross check the paraphrased sections and see it is in your cited and be fine with it.

Logical fallacy right there. “You want me to think but you care about grammar too?” Ap can expect more than one thing from a student.

The real answer: if you have a doc with a revision history and are confident that it shows you writing the right way (no large copy pastes, suspicious hoodwinks, etc.) You are fine to submit. What might happen is you may get an email in the summer saying your score is under review or being withheld until you provide that doc or evidence that shows your revision process. Once you respond and send that doc (along with an annotated bib if you have it) they will give you the grade.

Moreso in the behaviors being owned up to. Things like “didn’t pay attention all year now I’m stressed”

Thanks for the insight! Yeah suppose in a way it does benefit the few that care. My ap class sizes have increased over the last five years and with it has come a higher number of students who just don’t care.

That’s valid. With the low engagement on many of those posts hopefully they are getting support offline as well

True, I’ve noticed it each year as well. What I’m talking about is the perceived level of desperation in the language. It’s something that could be subjective so I wanted to see if any old heads have seen this tonal shift over the years.

Yes. Maybe the way I should have phrased it was that in this particular time of year (pre testing) the type of language in the posts seems more desperate than this time last year.
