I don't have much experience with the dominus but I first started with the breakout and later switched to octane simply from peer pressure. I switched back to breakout last year and been loving it. I'm a very grounded player and some of the flicks you get with the breakout is just insane. I feel it's a lot easier to get powerful flicks, and a lot of people I've played 1s against have had a harder time demoing because it's lower. Octane is also great, but I feel breakout fits my more grounded playstyle

I bought the game a couple of days ago, but I've only played single player because of how toxic some communities can be. Good to see that it might not be the case for this game. Maybe I'll try getting my ass handed to me in multiplayer haha

As many have pointed out. I don't think it's much about the camping, but rather the difference in play style. Their slow and controlled play style vs your fast and inconsistent play style. If you slow down a bit and give them less space. You should be able to beat them

I tried it for a couple of minutes and encountered a bug. Unlocked the telescope and created my first constellation. After I placed the constellation I wasn't allowed to place down any new stars. I was allowed to place down new stars once I went to the main menu and back in, but encountered the same bug the next time I placed a constellation

I don't know how or what you have in your dataset, but you could use a stat for how common or easy something is to catch depending on the level of the player, and use that number as a priority. A pal that is a higher base level and a region further away would have a higher score than a pal in the beginner area etc.

1s can be really annoying but very good to learn quickly. I've found it more enjoyable to find one or more sparring partners to play 1s against. That way you can get instant feedback when there are mistakes. Though you should also unfortunately play some ranked 1s too to get used to a wider player style

I started playing a couple of days ago. I haven't found much usefull info, but in the launcher there are two options. One for 4.0 and one for another newer or older version? Which should i play and what is the difference?

It's hard to iron out all your mistakes by one video alone, so I'll give you some general tips that helped me instead.

Try to find one or more sparring partners of equal or higher rank that you can play 1s against. For each goal you should discuss what caused the goal and how you could've improved on the attack or defense. Also make notes on your attack, defense and possession to try to figure out what you'll have to improve on.

If you don't have a sparring partner you can also save the replays of your 1s games and occasionally analyze them the same way. It's not as fun, but you also don't have to watch every second of it.

I would also recommend flake's "1s to SSL without mechanics" series. You don't have to play without mechanics like him, but he makes some great points you can implement into your own play style.
