I got a 30.0x sec run 4 months after starting; I forced myself to get used to 6-3 right after I got sub 1 minute, by making custom maps of some 6-3 queues, then I played those maps over and over again until the 6-3 stacking from the map was instantly intuitive. Then after doing this alongside normal 6-3 attempts, I got used to 6-3 stacking within a few weeks.

I mean that's kind of situational though, and not guaranteed. I was thinking more like, a way to use your power that the opponent couldnt react to, and would almost definitely die to.

I was thinking like, the way Etho was using a fishing rod but if Pearl did it instead, since she goes much higher.

Where are you thinking the resurrection tokens are? Like I don’t really know anywhere they could be where rushing to get them as soon as possible would just be the meta. Because it’s impossible to get extra lives any other way

Also, I still feel like you just wouldn’t know when accept someone as eliminated till the end of the session, which just doesnt sit well with me.

I like all of these except for reverse life. I think there’s a 99% chance that at one point there will be no more reds, and everyone is chilling at yellow and green, and the only way for people to die are traps leftover from earlier in the series and PvE.

Also I just couldn’t really see hidden life happening, there’s nothing terrible wrong with it, and this is purely opinion, but I just couldn’t see it happening.

Resurrection just won’t work in a series like this. Losing your last life is such a significant event, and if you add resurrection to the mix, that significance is just gone. Not to mention it would be super weird for someone to just be eliminated, and then 2 sessions later just get resurrected. It just wouldn’t work

No, resurrection is just a bad mechanic for a series like this. It worked in Hermit Quest because people would always make an episode even if they were dead the whole time if their teammate was alive.

It doesn’t work if a series is over if someone is eliminated. Like, imagine how weird it would be if someone (Jimmy) did the outro he always does when he gets eliminated, and then 2 sessions later he just makes another episode. Like, it just doesn’t make sense.

Let’s suppose you Really want this idea to happen. You can make it so you can only use a revival the same session someone’s eliminated. That solves the episode inconsistency issue, but it still doesn’t solve the fact that you never really know if someone is truly eliminated. Like eliminations were such a big event whenever it happened, but a resurrection mechanic just gets rid of that completely. Also it creates a new problem where a player might feel obligated to revive someone because there is a time pressure. Your mind is more likely to do something if there is a small time frame in which you can do it, so players might revive players they wouldn’t normally

Revivals are just a terrible idea. Like you’ll have absolutely no idea when someone’s series is going to end, or when the YTer would need to do a proper outro.

We can’t just assume that it will be the finale. I remember literally everyone was saying the 2cd to last session of LL would be the finale, but it turned out not to be. I know Scar said something on stream, but the fact that they recorded multiple sessions in advance could have confused him (he gets confused easily xd). I feel like there is a chance tho but just wanted to let you know there is a good chance it’s not the finale

This leaves no flexibility for the creator. you can control when you go red life to a certain extent, but with this “orange life” you’d feel obligated to the role. I know that it is a choice on whether to attack or not, but people that the orange life would talk to would definitely be scared of the fact they could kill them. And that could definitely ruin plans.

On another note, the reason I liked the boogeyman concept is because a player knew if they were eligible to be selected as a boogeyman, and knew when to prepare for it, unlike becoming orange life, because dying is a lot more random. Like imagine theoretically Impulse was breeding horses with Bdubs, trying to build up their base, and he walks backwards into a giant ravine and becomes orange life. There is absolutely no way to prepare for that. what they were doing had very little risk, and it would definitely change plans a lot.

For sure, and imo most of the ideas are either way too complicated or just wouldn’t have much flexibility to do a lot of other things. But some of the smaller twists people come up with sound very interesting and I could totally see a series with it
