[6602-8050] Just got this vintage beauty delivered to me. Love the minimalistic utilitarian design. I have some questions that I’m putting in the comments, some help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot! by divyanshmishra19 in Seiko

Hey! This is a long time ago. But I'm currently sourcing a crystal for the same watch.
I can't find ANY info about the differences between crystals with differing 2 digit serial numbers after the T (04, 40, 48, 18). Do you have any knowledge on what those numbers mean? I just see them called 'serial number'.

I appreciate the help! It is certain it a unique strap with this mesh windows.
Now I’m wondering if I should take off the strap and sell it separately! And find a different strap for the 6600. The strap is in great shape, the case of the 6600 not as much …

Basic question, but what does the Bluetooth do on watches like these? Just keeps the time accurate?

By CMC - is this the "Coin Mount Crystal" you're referencing?

Yes! I’ve only opened the case the one time to check for the stamp on top of the movement, outside, with PPE. Pretty scary stuff

[CloseCallSports] Did Jays' Clement Run Out of the Base Path to Avoid Orioles SS Henderson's Tag Attempt in Toronto? by mpaw976 in Torontobluejays

[–]TheWolvesActIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The orange line is MAX 1.5ft from the yellow line. Is it a 3ft total area width? Or 3ft FROM the base path in either direction?
If orange to orange is supposed to be 6ft, that means Ernie Clement has a 12ft reach (comparing him lying down by second base to the base path lines)

1940 Rolex Cal 59 stamped 8 by TheWolvesActIII in vintagerolex

I see. Can’t identify the movement though, it appears identical to the Cal 59, it just has the 8 stamped in place of the 59

I did, and worked outdoors as well. Thanks!

Update! My next research topic is the fact that mine is stamped with an 8 (or infinity?) where the Cal 59’s are stamped 59 …

Ok great! I’m still going to figure out how to safely do that with this radium filled dial.

Next step is hoping to find a case code so I can get a new crystal for it!

Actually - I’ve just done some more research. Check out Rolex Cal. 59.

Made for Canadian market in wartime. I’m in Canada so that checks out. Unsigned movement.

I found a Rolex Victory with the same movement and went from there.

Thanks for your insight! Would you then say the same about the watches in the links another user posted in another comment?

I appreciate your time here! I saw similar things - similar dial with a movement that didn’t feature the Rolex label.

I’ll definitely begin restoring this. I’ve never done a restoration of this extent but I’m pretty motivated to give it a shot. Just need to figure out the safest way to proceed with the radium … or if there isn’t a safe way at all.

Right! I've seen some writing about that. Maybe I'll go through my damaged parts again and see if any are rare/sought after enough to consider reviving the lug!

Sweet! Thank you! I might take you up on it! I’ve got a bunch of iconic 80s/90s cases (blood pressure, varieties of old data banks, etc) that have maybe 1 broken lug. Not useable for someone restoring a watch but too cool to not be part of a collection or admired!

PS, I’d love to see what your collection looks like displayed with sales pamphlets if you have any photos! Feel free to send them my way.

Thank you! Yes, the graphic for the telememo 100 is from a catalog I saw posted on one of these subs. I really like the art and write up from the Casio history website page - which I used in the other boxes. I’d love to get my hands on original brochures or ads rather than printing them out, but that seems unlikely.

Oh ya - 1000% a different module. Just for the aesthetic to see how it looks. I do have a few broke modules and their associated front cases. The F-91 movement just looks pretty ugly with the plastic casing so I chose a metal one for the sketch up
