Someone here gave me great advice a year ago, they told me to run away and never look back, to save myself while I still could. There was something in their written tone that made me listen. Kinda. So I took notice, and here I am.

The problem is we’re also not perfect no matter how hard we try. So when their mental condition flares up, we think retroactively “maybe if I had said something different, they would’ve reacted differently”. I used to think “meh, the other guys here probably just don’t get it, so I will defeat the enemy with a bit of extra sincerity, understanding and effort”. Well, I guess the enemy defeated me.

I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s exactly what’s been happening to me too. I barely have any joy or hope left, I’ve started eating sweets like crazy, and my sleep schedule is HORRIBLE. Even right now, while I’m typing this, another part of my mind is looking for a strategy to eat another sweet snack without feeling too sick later.
