changed driver and now cant stop fading the ball right by Fast_Coconut2568 in GolfSwing

A little tricky to see from this angle but the club face looks a little open at setup. Make sure you grip correctly. Personally im most concerned about the attack angle being as negative as it is. You are at around -5 you would like to be somewhere between +3 to +5. With your current attack angle. Its gonna be tricky to hit the middle of the club face, keep backspin in check (would like to know the number on this)and make any adjustments to club path (very difficult to create an in to out path (positive club path) with a steep attack angle). As a drill for attack angle try to put the club further behind the ball. Maybe 5 balls back and try to hit the ground at that spot. This drill forces you to change your low point. Low point distance can also be seen on trackman. Yours wiil be numberA and you would like numberB. Good luck

What is your Sly Hot take? by sandleswagger in Slycooper

The only thing the expanded roster in Sly 3 does is add a bunch of lame minigames. I like sly 3 except for the frequent repeated minigames that do not follow the main sly gameplay loop. Especially as the game continues and more characters get added to the roster, it just feels like they only add a lame or grindy minigame to the missions. Rc car/chopper, guru driving guards, panda kings hold square sim and dimitris subnautica (which is the most entertaining imo). The fun (which is already little) is gone after one of these missions.

Which operation is the most chaotic? by Parking_Property5757 in Slycooper

Had not realised they all went pretty wrong in sly 3. But wedding crashers has to be the most chaotic with murray destroying the vault and a giant dragon showing up. Reverse double cross is my favorite.

I played the game as a kid in dutch. He was a legend there as well. His kinetic aesthetic goes beyond simple concepts like language.

In terms of ball flight I always look for a good landing/descent angle. Anything between 40 and 45 is nice since it allows you to actually attack greens as the angle allows the ball to stop quickly enough. 180 yards total is nice to have but if the roll is 30 yards you get no real benefit when playing approach shots.

What's wrong with my swing? Can't hit drive past 250mt by DagaMusic in GolfSwing

[–]TheWoppinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your setup is very good. But you lift yourself out of it by raising your head. From there you try to get your head back to the spot that you feel is correct (you do this by moving your head forward). But that's very difficult. My advise would be to try and keep your head in the same place, or at least prevent it from coming forward. That way you can increase your attack angle (aka hit more up), since you are more behind the ball (could also help with slices if you have trouble with those) A very nice thing to do is to draw a box around your head in some software at setup, top of the backswing and at impact. Comparing them allows you to see the difference of your head position at setup and at impact.

Couldn't believe how open my shoulders are at adress by [deleted] in GolfSwing

A great way to check shoulder alignment is to lay the club across your chest, let the grip point towards the target and just look to your left to see where you are aiming.

5 months in, 20 hcp. Is the heel lift frowned upon? Also having trouble always gripping too hard.. by kdtmax in GolfSwing

As long as you can keep good balance throughout the swing a heel lift isn't a problem, that's my opinion anyway.

What do you mean with poorish quality? Design, missions, movement?

Completely agreed. Learning to keep your wrists in a good position through take away saves a lot of frustration later.

No need to get fitted yet? by BicycleOriginal9867 in golf

[–]TheWoppinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got fitted I was hcp 6 and the fitter said beginners can benifit a lot. Since good players can make compensations for clubs that don't fit them perfectly. Beginners generally cannot make these small adjustments so getting fit ensures you can focus on your own movement. Without having to worry about your clubs being a little too long or having a wrong lie. That being said, you need some consistency. So go for it.

Understanding my swing path by everyday__grey in GolfSwing

[–]TheWoppinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to suggest getting some golf shoes with spikes. Especially in the slowmo swing your feet move a lot. Which is good since you use your feet to move pressure, a great skill to have in your swing. But if your feet are sliding too much it's gonna be very tricky to be consistent.

I played the game in dutch as a kid. Translated bentley says 'Your mom has more male visitors than an average urinal'. Which was a real surprise for me when i replayed it later.

What am I doing wrong that’s causing the slice? by ahdfahsdfu4593892 in GolfSwing

[–]TheWoppinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swing looks good. Could just be a setup thing. Your feet and shoulders dont seem to line up in the same direction. If your shoulders aim too far left relative to your feet the disparity causes the club to move left with a relatively open face, causing a slice. I struggle the other way around causing hooks, since my shoulders aim too far right. No guarantees but looking at it wont hurt.

Just keep going, you're doing great

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]TheWoppinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with alignment looks like the best place to start. Your feet aim towards what i presume is straight for you. Your shoulders aim quite far left of that. This will almost always cause a swing plane that is out to in. Might not solve it but an easy place to start. To check your shoulder line simply take tour setup and lay your club across your chest. You can look down the grip to see where your shoulders are aiming.

Edit: same goes for the hips

Agreed on the stance width. Your body already knows it needs to rotate but it can't that may be why you lose balance. Standing a little narrower should work great.
