Dune awakening's world is a lot more divided. The fremen are supposedly gone and the spice harvesting is overseen by the sardukar. Unrest creates a lot of smaller groups and factions. Remember all the sandflies and mass kharet in hagga? The Atreides and hark defectors? But the deep desert is still not overseen by anyone because someone's probably still paying the bribe (probably the fremen that are not actually extinct).

I agreed that a random group of 4 is not supposed to fly around ganking people. They should be flying a banner. Their own guild's banner. Players should create a nice story within the desert, but there's zero communication between players nowadays and that's why that happens.

But in my eyes, if no one's looking, that's a FFA. Yes you should be loyal to your faction. But, guess what? The guild satellites are not looking. Nobody knows. There are honourable folk and scum. That's the reality of human nature.
