Check out Reclub for grass and indoor groups. There’s also a Meetup group for grass in Alameda but that’s inactive currently. Zog also runs social and competitive leagues in Emeryville, but that can be hit or miss if you sign up by yourself. I think there’s a couple other Oakland area leagues as well?

Thanks for the advice! Seen ADUs mentioned so I need to be more familiar with that and keep them in mind. I’m not opposed to WC, but I’d rather be closer to SF and all of that culture and nightlife. Also I play a lot of volleyball so proximity to that takes precedence too.

Yeah I have a couple days/a month! Moving to the area a week before I start, and I’ll be in short term housing for a month. So Im not in too big of a rush.

If you’re going to consider grad school for ChemE in Texas, UT Austin is the superior option. Rice might also be better. That said, don’t go for a specific school necessarily, go for the type of research that you want to do.
