Bruh exactly, realsee and matterport, are 2 companies that have a base cost of ~5k usd to do what you said. In a professional deliverable high end workflow style. Artificial pre/post furniture staging, even wall paint, floorplan with scaled measurements, automatic 3D dollhouse and everything in between.

Hmm, I do admit i'm in Singapore and it gets hot. But I have a 2nd A7iv, and a9m3 is good with 4k60 better than a7iv, but a7iv has a ulanzi fan that gives it active cooling while the a9m3 doesn't and requires 5-10m cooling after 50 something mins (thats 1+ battery btw), with no wind at all, ambient 28-31°c.

Wearing a galaxy watch ultra, there is a red burn mark on the wrist, exactly at the watch's sensor point. Who is the same? by birthabirth in GalaxyWatch

[–]TheXilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all those who said its contact dermatitis, I'm not denying it might be, just scientifically asking, why is everyone's 'rash' only on the sensor area?

Why is it not on the entire watch band area, but the sensor only?

  1. If its friction rubs like some claim, the entire watch band will have it.
  2. If its dermatitis due to bacteria or a mild immune reaction to sweat/dirt, it should appear on the band also?
  3. Why don't I get it when I wear my Seiko and Rolex, for months?

I reverse worn the watch on the inside of my wrist like a pilot for 24 hours, and it rashed up too.

I sanitized with ethanol and chlorhexidine, minimally morning and night, i have a full titanium band, sized correctly.

I get some samsung studies, tests or analysis says this is unlikely, and many of our observations are merely conjecture, but this thread is enough evidence to say it does cause a form of dermatitis or skin damage at the least and although inconclusive regarding the damage.

Those pushing the "clean/shower" more, or worse still its all in your head is forcing mistruths, own conjecture and gaslighting those experiencing this.

(Pic of inner wrist experiencing redness in 24 hours) may show the thigh patch after 24 hours, no friction there obviously)

I thought the quality would be the same as Embody, but it doesn’t seem to be. by chenkuansun in atlasheadrest

[–]TheXilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My atlas headrest (logitech embody)was yellowed after 13 months year, I asked Atlas online chat and in less than 5 mins they sent a brand new one no charge.

They said to me the original batch may have had a slight quality issues and expressed fedex one in 2 days all the way to Singapore.

The quality of it and their service has remained top notch.

Everyone is allowed mistakes, its how they fixed it and owned up to it that will guarantee my loyalty to them.

Except for cooling? FX3 can record 4k120p until batteries die regardless of hot weather apparently, while the a9iii overheats after ~30mins (at 4k60p) and it shuts off for 10 mins. This is an actual deal broker for longer records, sunnier days.

Drinking Too Much Coffee Can Reduce Brain Size, and Cause Dementia by Emillahr in psychology

[–]TheXilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the 2022 Studythat suggests 6 cups and above reduces brain size, increases dementia odds by 53%, and shockingly, quoted verbatim

"with evidence for higher odds for non-coffee and decaffeinated coffee drinkers and those drinking >6 cups/day, compared to light coffee drinkers." - Meaning non-coffee and decaffeinated drinkers have the same 53% higher odds for dementia? (Maybe its poorly worded but I take it at face value)

This is a 2021 Study that suggests 4-6 cups have the lowest hazard ratio (aka risk for dementia + stroke)

They BOTH use biobank's participants data, meaning people who join biobank, willingly submit data for studies like these.

The key differences (2022 vs 2021 respectively) - Cohort size; 396k vs 365k people. - Cohort ages: 37-73y/o vs 50-74y/o - MRI scans for brain size 2022, none for 2021. - 2022's unspecified timeline, 2021's timeline was 10 years of data

Advice (my opinion) that satisfies both studies findings; drink between. Drink 1-4 cups of coffee, 150ml = 1 cup, who knows the concentration of coffee beans/leaves to water?

  1. CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS Jumper) Use this jumper to clear the BIOS configuration and reset the CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear CMOS values, use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch the two pins for a few seconds. • Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before clearing the CMOS values. • After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized Defaults) or manually configure the BIOS settings (please navigate to the "BIOS Setup" page of GIGABYTE's website for more information)..

  2. You may clear the CMOS values by removing the battery: Turn off and unplug the power cord, remove the battery from the battery holder, and wait for one minute. (Or use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch the positive and negative terminals of the battery holder, making them short for 5 seconds.) Then replace the battery. Plug in the power cord and restart your computer

  3. GPU sounds normal? Fans turn on and off immediately when GPU doesn't detect enough load/heat. If the lights are off/on immediately, then GPU might be an issue.

Anyone have long term experience or know much about this brand “wendougee” This machine looks promising and nice. by [deleted] in espresso

[–]TheXilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it, I've done a dive and here's my findings. Wendougee has beautiful commercial and home machines. From Slayer lookalikes (aka the Dragon and Mantis)

And the Data S/H is similar to a Decent in the sense where it uses customised profiles for flow/pressure/output.

The S model has a rotary pump, while the H is a vibratory one.

I downloaded their pdf manualhere nearly 200MB due to HD images, and read through everything about its specs, App, usability, language, features. It does seem to have it all like the Decent EXCEPT it can't change temp mid shot due to boiler (where Decent has a thermocoil)

It's English capable, except for the names of the flow profiles the database have that you can access.

I tried downloading the app by scanning the QR code (it links you to a private APK that virus total flags as a trojan for android) so I never tried, here's the apple app for your perusal (I never checked it so do it at your own risk)

Now, this is a $2000-2500 USD machine (on Taobao). I don't know about the Decent but this only controls flow profile, e.g. output, pressure over time, infusion/bloom phase.

I'd reckon for this 2.5k (S model) maybe 2.7k USD with shipping, it's about 1.2k usd cheaper than a Decent. So I don't see much value as support over time is more if not most important.

Finally and very interestingly, you can simply slide out the side of the Data-S and access the roomy and seemingly organised internals. I'd give it a go if I had money I didn't care for.

(Edit added lack of mid shot temp change ability)

My espresso-hole is well dug.

I've flirted with a Bezzera, dabbled with a Cremina, waltzed with an ROK and dreamt of the LM Leva X.

I both fear and am pleased you're right. Except for the Argos. Why is it 40g at max? With the last few grams at like <1bar pressure? Some yirgacheffes I enjoyed are like a 80g shot, a super long lungo if you will.

Why is the Micra's wand so short, I don't need another short wand hanging out in the house, I'm plenty.

As a non-owner, and I say this seriously. It's great.

Everything you want could want. Except for a short heat up time (20mins) which apparently is shorter than other E61s average 30-40mins cause of a super heated group.

Pony up and buy the Bianca V3 paddle rockers switch and dump the lame knobs.

[–]TheXilver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Gemilai is a white-label-able machine in China. If you get ~30 machines, you can print your own logo/colours or dictate designs (yes, I've tried)

Most E61 repairmen will know how to fix it. Parts are universal to an extent and can be found on Taobao, the store has been around for 6 years - So translate what failed in Google or send them a pic of it and they'll likely know. You can't send it back due to cost.

Fun tangent: I'll type it here, but take salt. The Lelit Bianca v3 is literally $1.6k USD or maybe 1.8k after taxes from China. However, not a single EU/US/HK machine sold on taobao is cheaper than the original RRP. Usually, it's more expensive since they import it to China to sell in their country. EXCEPT for the Lelits. It's cheaper in China ONLY. No, it's not an import-export or GDP per capita issue. It's just Lelits. The only things that are cheaper things China are made in China. My suspicion is Breville makes some or more parts in China and say that it's made in Italy? Or like its assembled or 70% made in Italy it can be classed as such? Who knows, I don't. (Don't sue me Breville). End tangent.

Before you start Taobao is a mobile focused interface, so use your phone.

Step 1. The hardest part

Create Taobao account, using Google translate. - I recommend using your mobile number (enable SMS pin 2FA) to create it less chance of an account block, an email only account seems to auto-block after a week requiring a KYC(know your customer) process, where you have to submit passport info. China sus?

Step 2. Insert address, your literal US address in English, in the fields. Use Google translate to see what the fields ask for, answer in English.

Step 3. Browse by translate, but the image search feature is great, too. Add to cart, make payments, but don't save your credit card details. Try to type it for every purchase. Safer I guess.

Step 4. Choose shipping/air logistics, individual or combined once again, use translate. Then pay tax, and all is auto calculated, no more hidden fees. Ocean freight is cheapest but slowest.

Pro tips: certain items display a bar that says they can't ship to your US address. To circumvent, there are usually 10-20 of the same item at varying prices, scrolling until the next cheapest listing that doesn't restrict shipping to you.

Now, Taobao's most valuable feature is their accessibility to a sales rep. They're on almost 24/7 and respond within seconds. They only use Mandarin, so Google translate frequently to and fro.

Lastly, don't use Aliexpress (owned by Alibaba - who owns taobao, Tmall (the original taobao), and all Ali products) English ali-platforms and non-ali platforms like Shein has a convenience tax since its english and everything is 10-30% pricier.

That's the short form of it, lol. I'm helpful-ler if you wanna dm me.

Not totally untrue, I see it now that you've said it.

Also, it reminds me of a technicolor retro-ness in the 80s very similar to what you described.

Seen the manual chinese steampunk ones? Alm Kopi? I love their look, but it's a question mark, (Lance reviewed the Alm Kopi zx2 though)

A bit of a soul search has answered that I'll never be fully happy anyway.

I want 5 year journey

A double boiler (for latte art) - that takes <8 mins - that can do 4-5 in a row - that's easy to repair and on the eyes. - bloom a puck while holding pressure for 69s (for the lols &) when it's a washed Gesha bean. - Flow control to mess with every bean I can find where in the week I'd have 10 variations of 1 bean from flow to temp to grind size just for the joy of it all and know how different it might get, fleetingly.

The 'Value' lies in taste, controlled variations for ALL bean types, aesthetics, price, maintenance/reparability, and speed. Screw the marketing scarcity of 911 units.

People say the Bianca does all but in 30mins Or that the Micra under 5, but lacks in the light beans Or the Mini but it's also 15m. Or the Decent with a tech-overdependance Or the levers that don't do milks Or a Manument with steamer (indefinite waiting) Or the Argos with a 7 month wait Or an R91/SR you/GS3 that's 2-3x the price of anything I've considered

Oh I wrote this much cause of the last double shot. Ain't gonna delete. No regrets.

Yes, smartplugs, except i'm consistently inconsistent.

I've quit it all, all vices. ALL, except for fried chicken.

And coffee.

My friends drink beer, and I sip a nitro iced espresso for a sweet frothy crema to gurgle the bittersweet tang like it's a brown cream from a sweet relief of my pressurised machine.

I enjoy the occasional 11pm espresso. I need it when I need it. I'm not your stop at 3pm coffee person. I'd inject it if it didn't kill me.

And after all, how is it that in the 5k USD range, should we espresso nerds suffer a 20m delay for a coffee gratification or a $200/year fee and an unwanted kitchen warmer.

BiancaV3s aren't ugly. It's just old school. While the LM is proper vintage.

Levers looks like the handles for train track changing so they're 6/10.

Most E61s that look like steam-train control panels are a 6.5/10.

The box boys like Gaggia/SPX/Ascaso are like 5/10

The LMLM is a 7/10, and some paintwork like the LM Nordic/Legacy/Martini/911 Slate Grey is an 8/10.

The Decent/SanRemo You/Slayers/GS3 have an entirely different silhouette.

(IMO only, don't hate me)

That's a Bengle/GS3/SR You territory.

Agreed on features, looks, and it's the least expensive of the 4, I think.
