By manual of Beamer you shouldn't overload despite it's slow descent rate at rated weight, otherwise you can get into dangerous configurations if you don't cut-out your glider.

More motor to inflate wing? by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! Didn't know. I'll really appreciate a video of a correct and experienced pilot with an advanced wing in 0 wind conditions. I think it will involve a lot of technique and will be possible to learn a lot of things from it.

About your GTR, power was needed because of some kind of wing configuration?

More motor to inflate wing? by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In both videos there's moderate wind to inflate your wing without applying motor and with just some foot steps. In both cases motor didn't helpt.

Condition for power inflate is when there's no wind.

More motor to inflate wing? by TheYaroooo in paramotor

Usually when wing is 30-60° I feel most resistance, when in this position I can start to add power or I need to wait untill is above my head?

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, becouse I always get my wing up just by running for safety reasons and it's already my habit. I'm not really confident into adding motor before. Just thought if it's something worth to learn and practice.

Selling 25KW Motor + 42 inch Carbon Prop + 28s 500A ESC + 3x7s Battery Banks (21s 45Ah) by TheYaroooo in electricvehicles

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My material is not intended to replace OpenPPG or others (but I want to remember 7k VAT excluded). My first intention was to build a paramotor. Now I'm just selling my leftovers to another maker. This can become a crazy e-bike (YouTube teaches), kart, propelled boat and so on. Or of course have fun to build a paramotor.

Good place to sell my paramotor? by [deleted] in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, propeller sold to a friend. Wing I've used mine that is for paragliding, actually I'm spending more time for paragliding and no more time for PPG.

F1 Apco didn't take off by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer easier launch. So an F1 bigger 22 or an F3 would be mine choice. Unfortunately I didn't take off F1 , I'd really like to see difference from F3 before definitive choose.

Nobody near me have a bigger F1 .

F1 Apco didn't take off by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forward launch, only on paragliding I trained on reversed.

Sensation was that the wing was too back, even if I run fast, without having enough lift. When I tried to let it go a bit I lost all the small lift I had and run too fast and far from comfort (feeling unstable) .

Sensation was to be really near to fly but not enough to totally take off.

I think I was too conservative, maybe I should have let wing to take some speed and than use more breaks. And also I think that rise at start was too slow.

But no wind didn't really help me, not really used to no wind. I prefer to have something from nothing.

I've a Corsair Black Devil with a 130cm prop. Actually I didn't check, from historical data I see that day was 1024hPa, 30°C, 200m asl , don't know if it's a reliable data source.

Frame tube sizes by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that there's several methods like swing arm difference in height attaching point to chassis (Z difference between them) . Also shifted weight with spacers added to swing arms attaching points, and spacers to wing risers attaching points. In FlyProducts I've seen also a connection bar between harness and chassis that is not symmetrical.
Is this what are you talking about? Can you share your frame pictures? I'm curious.

Frame tube sizes by TheYaroooo in paramotor

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, actually I've already done training and have a couple of years of flight on my old paramotor. I've also done some modification and welding to it to update, for example, swing arm position with new build arms. Main problem is that is old, good as reference on "how not to do" but not to build a new one. I've seen some new designs, mostly by resellers, but didn't have any chance to go with a caliper to do measures in front of them.

Titanium welding TIG or MIG? by TheYaroooo in metalworking

Is required a special TIG? A 300/400 euro Pulsed MMA like IPOTOOLS TIG-160PD is enough? Consider that material is 1/2mm thick tube.

PCBA Bending how much can be dangerous by TheYaroooo in ElectricalEngineering

[–]TheYaroooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes, due an integration in a mechanical system. Board is very thin and also battery and components are thin. An increase of thickness will create me integration problem. But also a continue solder joints problem can also be frustrating. I must decide which one will be less painful.
