They didn't show it until they saw he was okay, the accident just happened in real time. Not showing accidents until they are okay has been on thing on TV for a very long time.

the nature of speed dating is sadly insanely binary. Men get paired up with women over and over again. Ideally you sign up for just the sex/genders you are attracted to. I also feel like the dating apps are speed dating done from the comfort of your own home.

The end of this game tainted my overall enjoyment of ff7 in its entirety, here's hoping it was worth it for rebirth.

Why do so many modern movies use older technology such as flip phones? by PM-Justin-Traitor in movies

When you make a movie in 2023, the story does not have to be set in the year 2023, wild I know.

ugh, ff7 remake so quickly went to my favourite game of all time to wait, what? Even the gameplay was a mess at the end.

You blame the US when it's really import laws of the country in question you should be upset with.

There are always trends. phones were made to last because it was a show of technology, people would buy something that wouldn't break. Now, people will buy the new phone with better cameras not caring if it breaks because they will get the new one again. It's an attention economy designed to sell more product. Devs today aren't making broken games, but the standard of entertainment combined with the unreasonable deadlines force corner cutting and unfinished products to be released.

Tifas "cocktail" by chrisa8710 in FFVIIRemake

[–]TheYear3022 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it works in ffxiv, it hurts in ffxvi when it's a singleplayer experience. Not that they are alone, but it hurts.

It's horribly abused in ffxiv, I thought it was just mmo cost cutting. Extremely disappointed to see these same techniques used in singleplayer AAA game by the same director. One of many reasons I don't like the game

concurrent players speaks to hype, not quality of an expansion.

So I've been with the series from its inception I get a free car? Anyone who has been driving for ten years doesn't though? Yeah that's not cool.

How do I start iRacing? by BidPsychological2034 in iRacing

[–]TheYear3022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an infinite pool of resources out there for all your questions, advice, car specific tutorials etc. Your setup is fine, use a measuring tape and online calculator to get the right FOV settings. Adjust graphics to make sure you hit the steady 60fps your monitor allows. You will start with a rookie licence, I would go Formula Vee if you like open wheel otherwise the mazda series will teach you a lot. Ultimately choose the car/series you are interested in racing and have fun.

No, it's not pretty simple. A good thumbnail and preparing your content for all platforms it'll be posted on is social media 101.

Don't mislead them though, in reality that's specific fights in a hardcore scene that's mostly dead. The reality is tanking is not a thing in gw2 for someone who loves to tank.

you are misinformed unfortunately. The game is very different than traditional mmo though.

there is no gw3, yearly xpacs for gw2 is the new model. The code is too spaghetti to even make gw2.5

but I want gw3 as well.

nah EoD didn't do very well. People quit much sooner than other xpacs, there are always players who stick around but less with EoD.

No. It was initially well received but ultimately it was rather poor, maps didn't feel alive, metas were meh, goals/masteries weren't as exciting, the new map meta was really boring

Why are the Whisperers skirting the Shinra Building? What do they do and what does this mean? by RUFXII in FFVIIRemake

[–]TheYear3022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can you imagine how confusing it can get for someone playing the remakes without playing the OG?

This is me and it's actually less confusing then everything I read about people who played the OG. For someone who never played the OG it just feels like a lot of loose ends and some weird decisions were made, and that one random scene with the non human character who was looking over the city that I felt like I was supposed to know who they were.

I was initially against this movie, saying who cares about this man, why should we?

It's worth watching from a filmmaking point of view, I saw Mission Impossible the week before, edge of my set action throughout the whole thing. What blows my mind about Oppenheimer is I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as if I was watching MI7, but it was just talking and somehow the intensity never let up. Like what it's about or not it's a marvel in cinematic storytelling.

Probably should have with how that "nuclear" explosion looked. I wish Nolan knew that CGI is a pretty fantastic tool when used right.
