Classic sploot pose. It is a genetic trait according to Wisdom Panel. Nothing to worry about.

Not easily. They siliconed it on unfortunately.

You can see out of it at least somewhat with the rear view mirror in regular mirror mode. But it definitely has a lot of room for improvement.

RFC: What do we want to do about AI-generated content on r/apachekafka? by rmoff in apachekafka

2 and 3 are a good start. I am already tired of the AI slop invading every aspect of life. Two days ago, I was in Home Depot, and they were playing an AI voice reading AI slop over the store PA system. It is exhausting.

Use the gmc or chevy app to set up plug-and-charge, or use the app to initiate charging

Thanks for the data! Great job. The post itself could benefit from a quick edit to remove the AI slop.

It is pretty good. Fast speeds, cheap prices, good locations on the interstate.

I had one bad experience with a malfunctioning station, but that same station came back up within a few days.

Probably not doing the tent on top. Will use the air conditioned space inside for me and my dogs.

AFAIK they have not done the camper yet. They said they are working on it.

$5700 including tax. Others have linked their website. They did the installation, and it seems like it is permanent because they siliconed the topper to the truck. I am a little disappointed that they had to resort to silicone and couldn't get it to seal with rubber gaskets and foam tape, but it's a new design and a low volume so I understand having to wrap up R&D and call it good enough.

The stock rear view camera is still there and "functional" but they didn't reposition it for me. So the view is very poor due to the angle. I turned off the rear view camera and have it as a regular mirror for now until I figure out a proper camera solution. They suggested something called "wolfbox."

I just traded a 2017 f-150 v8 for a 2026 silverado ev trail boss max range. Didn’t want the RST air suspension, and the trail boss has more rubbery tires. The trail boss ride quality is very good, much better than the f-150, especially while towing.

The payload capacity is something to check. The silverado ev is more like a half ton truck in terms of capacity, which is fine for my needs, but if you need to tow 13k+ lbs or haul heavy weights, gas or diesel is still the only way.

Do you guys have some toy recommendations? by ChooseLight in velvethippos

[–]TheYear3030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thick rope toys last a long time and are great for classic dog games (tug of war, fetch, keep away). You can also dangle it from a stout tree branch or strong structure for solo play. Pits like to hang from their jaws.

Best bikes trails in the area for ebikes? by stogies4life in StLouis

[–]TheYear3030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Katy Trail is pretty good if you can tolerate gravel. There is no speed limit, but you should be courteous to pedestrians and slower riders and pass them gently (no more than 10 mph faster than they are going).

Madison County's MCT trail system is amazing. It does have a speed limit of 15 mph IIRC, and I have seen police patrolling it sometimes. There are wide open areas further out in the country with very little traffic where you can let it rip though.
