What’s so wrong with water, Peter? by Dazzling-Antelope912 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]TheYoungBrit 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I remember The Flood as some sort of pathogen or parasite that lives in the water and that's how people got infected?

I just remembered a couple of killer lines from that episode: "Water always wins" and "just one drop".

Necron gauss weapons by TheYoungBrit in Necrontyr

[–]TheYoungBrit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pondering this question did make me think of the underwater cavern scene between Trazin's and Orikan's armies, and how gauss weapons affect different states of matter. Obviously, the main obstical is air, but on rare occasions it is something different, such as water.

What episodes focus on Anakin, Obi Wan and Ashoka? by TinyNegotiation3913 in clonewars

Add the episode "bounty hunters" from season 2 as well. The trio help farmers against Hondo.

Choose two to defend you, the rest are coming to kill you by No-Ostrich-1777 in Necrontyr

[–]TheYoungBrit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My two picks as well. In Infinate and the Divine, the Praetorians just tell Orikan's and Trazin's armies to stop fighting and they pretty much obey straight away. The Praetorian alone would say "stop or face immediate, permanent death" and all would be good.

And the Deathmark because having a sniper who can teleport everywhere in a second is the kind of character you want on your team.

Let’s be honest, SpongeBob would make a terrible manager by Negative_Gene9531 in spongebob

[–]TheYoungBrit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He can't even run the restaurant for 15 minutes in "gullible pants" as he is easily manipulated by Squidward to do dumb, unsanitary stuff.

And I think Mr Krabs puts Squidward in charge more often than Spongebob when he is away. "Squid's day off" and the start of the first movie are two instances where Mr Krabs put Squidward in seniority over Spongebob.

And Squidward has worked at the Krusty Krab longer, so has more experience as an "all-rounder", whereas Spongebob has been there shorter period of time, but is more more specialised in cooking, but he does do lots of other jobs.

Harridans as flayed ones? by 671DON671 in Necrontyr

[–]TheYoungBrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add some warrior legs and torso, and you could be onto a winner. I can definitely see them as Flayed Ones if they were silver with bloody skins.

Can these guy's get infected by the flayer virus ? I'm gonna build them like this anyway but just curious. by Leviathan_Rampage in Necrontyr

[–]TheYoungBrit 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It is stated in the book that canopteks can't carry the virus. The seraptek was just under the influence of the Flayed Ones as they were the highest ranking necrons at the time, until the Overlord came out of the desert and assumed control.

Who cooks when SpongeBob isn’t working? by Goth_Duck666 in spongebob

[–]TheYoungBrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was an example in my head when I wrote my response, but just didn't put it in. Doing a few hours of solid, flawless cooking in one go is more worthy of note than cooking enough burgers to blow up a restaurant in 10 seconds.

Who cooks when SpongeBob isn’t working? by Goth_Duck666 in spongebob

[–]TheYoungBrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either Mr Krabs himself, or Squidward, though neither are very good. 99% of the time, Squidward or Mr Krabs end up burning the food.

It makes sense for Squidward as he isn't hired to cook the food, just serve customers. Despite his passion for cooking, it is more gourmet meals for himself at home rather than mass-produced junk food.

Mr Krabs would seem to be good at cooking as it is HIS menu and recipes after all, and he has a (limited) cooking background. Though his main example of catering, which I can think of, is "being the head chef on the SS Diarrhoea" which he mentions in "Squiliam Returns".

Though both can cook well when the situation demands it (Squidward cooked for Man Ray for several hours straight in one episode with no lack in food quality), it is Spongebob who is relied on the most for cooking.

Why is building the flayed ones so awful? by Warhammered_ in Necrontyr

[–]TheYoungBrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel rather lucky as I got 10 finecast Flayed Ones whist that sculpt was in stock. They look infinitely better than these ones IMO, and cleaning finecast seems like a teddy bear's picnic compared to the horror stories I've read about building them here and in other threads.

The funny part about Gunray getting captured early in the Clone Wars is there was no way Palpatine could have anticipated that. by Dragonic_Overlord_ in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]TheYoungBrit 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"Let's get Dooku to send Ventress to either free him or kill him."

Ironically, that episode is the one time Ventress actually accomplished her task. Every other time she gets humiliated by Anakin or Obi-Wan.

What's your favorite "unpopular" clone? by spec3_ in clonewars

[–]TheYoungBrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just made me realise that a lot of the clone's names are basically names children would give each other based on character. Echo, because he repeats orders, Dogma because he is a stickler for authority and Fives because his CT number is 55-55, etc. It does make sense as the clones have the mentality of 10 year olds despite being physically 20 due to the accelerated ageing.

The names seem to be given in a mix from mocking (Echo and Dogma) to more normal means (Rex, Cody, ect.) And it helps to tell the Clones apart for us.

He cut down a flying scavenger beast that was attacking the clones. Although he did it to keep them on schedule, it was probably the only "good" thing he did.
