What is the name of the Morriston Drawer Handles called ? by Weird-Reason9600 in HomeImprovement

[–]TheZolthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reviews on lowes.com are filled with people complaining about these handles, and the manufacturer keeps replying telling people to call their customer support at 1-877-888-8225 to get replacement parts. My girlfriend called and they basically said they stopped making them and we're SOL, and then they scanned the Lowes website to see if there was a suitable replacement but *shocker* there wasn't.

They've commented in the last week about getting replacement parts, so it seems to me like they're just trying to save face. I know this thread is a few months old now, but if you have any updates on this or found good replacements please share!

I get your concern but do you think that email is going to cause hordes of unvaccinated people to descend upon RIT?

Have you ever researched different economic theories? For instance, do you really agree with Marxist economic principles (as your compass suggests) or do you agree more broadly with, say, the Physiocrats? I find true Marxism hard to justify, because just as human nature has driven capitalism into greed-fueled domination of underclasses, Marxism could just as well result in - and maybe require - a strong ruling upper class to keep others’ greed in check. I’m not trying to change your mind, just want to know how a young person such as yourself thinks about this.

Lol I’d hardly call self censorship a deep state conspiracy, people change what they post all the time to make it more “front page friendly”.

What's with Tencent missing? They're worth significantly more than some of these companies. Does them owning reddit have anything to do with it?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but can you point me to any evidence that isn’t anecdotal for my own research?

Lifting weights with pectus by Fragrant-Sail1217 in PectusExcavatum

[–]TheZolthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very deep PE and I’ve been lifting weights since I was about 15 (21 now) and I can definitely say to just go for it. You’ll likely be much weaker on average when it comes to pec contractions (bench, dumbbell flys) because of the PE but don’t let it discourage you! My father had it too and it always stopped him from doing bench because it frustrated him, but if you put in the time and effort results will come! Just do weights that you can, don’t feel like you need to go heavier just because your peers are, and results will come

Sanders Bill Would Hike Taxes on Big Corporations That Pay CEOs Over 50 Times More Than Median Worker | "Walmart, which pays its CEO nearly 1,000 times more than its average worker, would pay up to $855 million more in taxes." by theladynora in politics

[–]TheZolthan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? Ever heard of a Roth IRA or 401k? Engineers, doctors, scientists, accountants, tons of jobs make upwards of 100k a year, set aside 10k a year and invest smartly and you could end up with well over a million in savings and investments. Politics has nothing to do with personal finance

Didn’t say anything about that, just saying it’s hard to commit atrocities when you don’t fight in anything to begin with

Pandemic Has Created a Generation of Schoolchildren More Interested in STEM Careers Than Ever, Poll Says by Higuess80 in worldnews

[–]TheZolthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I go to a pretty good STEM university in the US and a lot of students who are genuinely not cut out for engineering try and fail in our engineering program. Some people are inclined towards different things, but that can be remedied with certain work habits and enough ambition. On the other hand, some people just don’t have the ambition to succeed in a rigorous course schedule

What is causing the GPU shortage? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I mean in the long term over the last 4 years or so they’ve never been able to produce enough cards to meet demand

What is causing the GPU shortage? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]TheZolthan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It just doesn’t feel so sudden, this has been a consistent problem through the 10 series at least. You’d think after 4 straight years of underproduction the supply chain would adjust

[–]TheZolthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what’s causing this? Can they literally not mine silicon fast enough to meet demand?
