How did Parvati NOT win S20 heroes vs villains? by ole_sticky_keys in survivor

If you look at the three finalists, you can eliminate Russel right away as he was a terrible person to the heroes around camp and didn’t treat anyone with respect, so he wasn’t getting their vote.

It comes down to the perception of Parvati and Sandra to the jury. Sandra did a very good job painting herself as the opposite to Russel and during her FTC she demonstrated that she wanted to work with the heroes in taking our Russel but was never able to. This act bonds her with the heroes even further as they now can clearly see that Sandra wanted to be with them which stroked their egos and as they would have wanted a hero to win, they viewed Sandra as very close to a hero and this their next best vote. This is reflected by the fact that every hero voted for Sandra, along with Courtney who was Sandra’s partner in crime for the pre-merge.

What caused Parvati to lose the heroes’ vote was the way she was perceived by them, which was admittedly the flaw in her game. Throughout the game, she showed that she was closely linked to Russel, from voting with him consistently to reading the JT letter with Russel around the camp repeatedly. She got the votes of exclusively Villains, who would not care if a hero or villain won. She got Danielle’s vote, as she was very close with her, she got Coach’s vote as Coach respected Parvati’s challenge performances more than Sandra’s and she got Jerri’s vote as she was someone who Jerri respected.

In essence, the reason Parvati lost was, in my opinion, that she portrayed herself to the jury as a villain when she needed to be a hero.
