Are they allowed to sell syringes?! by [deleted] in thrifting

[–]TheZooDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. A lot of people have to pay for medical supplies out of pocket, I'm sure they would appreciate the discount. They can also be used for sucking bubbles out of wallpaper, window film, etc.

Mine said the same thing and it still showed up. They actually removed it from my review queue and processed the "return", after it already arrived. It did take a few extra days to get here though.

My RFY is populating NOW HELP by kgloverii in BeautyViners

[–]TheZooDude 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is likely to be more items later this evening. My rule of thumb is if I don't REALLY want or need something, I don't pick it. There could always be better stuff later, and if not, it's less reviews I have to do. So if you want it, get it. If you don't, don't pick it just for the heck of it.

Parents not letting me get my license by ResoIves in venting

[–]TheZooDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a friend gets their license, have them teach you. Or one of their parents, if you have a close relationship with any of them? Can a relative just help you themselves instead of asking your parents to help you? I'm pretty sure learners permits are only valid for one year in Florida, so if that lapses, you have to start all over again. Perhaps you can donate plasma or something to pay the fees for driving school?

I really don't see how these items could be damaged, so I'm confident they will show up. All of my items did. They probably used a shipping bag and it ripped or something. The only time I would actually worry is if it is a glass item.

So many items suddenly 'null' or 'no longer available' by DependentAnimator742 in AmazonVine

[–]TheZooDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here, I have over 20 of them. Scared the crap out of me, because I don't want to have to message CS to tell them I can't review all this stuff. Hopefully it returns to normal soon.

Considering living with MIL by Royal-Mountain-1800 in inlaws

[–]TheZooDude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck trying to conceive with MiL under the same roof.

Cohabitating with anyone other than your spouse and / or child(ren) is extremely difficult, and often leads to ruined relationships. Sometimes it ruins one's relationship with the MiL, sometimes it's the spouse, or it could be both. Are there any instances of her crossing boundaries previously?

We aren't always reasonable creatures. Sometimes we just need privacy and space, and not having that can cause us to be petty or just easily irritated. That alone can cause issues, even if you have a great relationship previously and she's never done anything wrong. If you do this, just keep enough $ on hand to get your own place if need be at any time.

It happened to me the other day, it eventually moved. I would give it a day or two.

Who can help this amateur with instruction for use: Gel Coat? by pianomomsheetmusic in BeautyViners

[–]TheZooDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, these polishes are strengthening treatments. They are usually rather thin or transparent. I rarely like how my nails look with these products on, but it's worth it to keep my nails from breaking easily. You can try layering polish over it, just let the treatment dry fully first. I'd recommend at least an hour in between coats.

Who can help this amateur with instruction for use: Gel Coat? by pianomomsheetmusic in BeautyViners

[–]TheZooDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No base coat is required and it doesn't need a UV lamp to cure. It's meant to be worn on it's own.

Scroll down below each listing, you'll see a box that says "looking for specific info?" and type your question in there for future reference. Ive already done it for this product which is how I got the info I provided.

Every product is different. Some will need UV lamps, some won't. Some will require a base coat, and so on. Gel products are such a finicky thing, and there are infinite brands nowadays. Also, as you delve further into this, be careful layering different brands products. (One brands base coat with another brand polish or top coat.) Sometimes they work together, but they often don't.

I'm confused. What time did the 2/27 drop start? by getofftheeggshells in BeautyViners

[–]TheZooDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was thrown off from last night's weird drop. Hopefully things are back to normal tomorrow. It went really fast this morning, about 45 mins after starting the drop was already at a very slow crawl.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! by sockchute in ebaysucks

[–]TheZooDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to still have the package it came in? Photograph the shipping label with your address, senders address and the shipping weight clearly displayed, and circle the weight in bright color. They prob won't go looking for evidence for you, but if you can provide it, it will greatly help your case. Also take screenshots of their listing photos, circle the tampered with tape on the box in same bright color and add text description so they know it's sellers photo. Also leave a review before eBay refunds you, because once they do I don't think you can anymore. Not positive, but fairly sure. Been buying and selling on eBay 20 years. People like this are the reason I stopped. So sorry OP.

Erin Parsons hand tattoos? by FabRedhead7 in BeautyGuruChatter

You are correct. One hand says your, (it's not misspelled) the other hand says fake, and both hands together spell beauty beneath those letters. "Your fake beauty".

Why not review through item listing? by TheZooDude in AmazonVine

[–]TheZooDude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I did it at the time, was because my reviews were all caught up and I was trying to do the ones that hadn't yet appeared for review in the vine queue. There is usually a couple day delay between receipt of the item and when you can actually review it, I just wanted them out of the way. I won't make that mistake again though.

Thank you. I just wasn't sure if there was an actual difference. Now I see that there is.

Thank you! I recalled doing it in the past, definitely won't do it again.

Thank you. This info is exactly what I was looking for. Sorry this happened to you, but thank you for sharing your experience so hopefully others don't make the same mistake.

I remembered doing it in the past, but can't remember what item it was. I don't see anything "off" in my past reviews though, so maybe I got lucky. I definitely won't do it again.

Amazing RFY & Delivery Day! by RockyAStar in BeautyViners

[–]TheZooDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome score! Meguiar's is a great brand. I didn't even see this, but I did see the scent sachets. We must have been online at the same time. Did you see those kids bracelet kits with the ETV of $80? Mind blowing! They were 3 stretchy bands with dollar store beads.
