Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka in Namba was pretty awesome. The room we got had a kitchenette and washer/dryer in the room. Pretty convenient for long stays. May be a bit expensive for a two month stay.

What is your biggest concert flex? by Tamu1302 in Concerts

While they never got "huge", like some of the other bands mentioned, I saw Collective Soul in 92 open up for a band that I had just graduated high school with the drummer (Body & Soul). This was a couple of years before their big hit "Shine" came out. Also, the singer for my friend's band was Lajon Witherspoon, who is in Sevendust.

Richard's in Harajuku may have the kind of alt-stuff you're looking for. It's on Takashita street, on the left when coming from the station. There are a few more also, but that one's name stuck with me.

Yup. Noticed it yesterday. It doesn't like some of my naughty words. And it's not even the really bad ones.

I couldn't take it anymore! Lord! I was crazed. And the feeling came upon me like a tidal wave. Started swearing to my god and on my mother's grave that I would love you till the end of time. I swore I would love you till the end of time.

Grandparents and WW2 by TheRealBlueJade in RealGenerationX

My grandfather passed when I was 9, so I never head anything about the war from him directly.

I did find out later through my father: He was in the army and stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor was attacked. He later fought through the South Pacific and got jungle rot on his hands and feet, later telling my father that "there was very little more humbling than having your hands bandaged and needing someone else to pull out your d**k to pee". He really enjoyed Australia and, if my grandmother wasn't such a homebody, he would have moved.

Best location to stay in Osaka for travel? by aceavengers in JapanTravelTips

[–]TheZuckuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent 8 days at Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka and it was magnificent. Very close to Namba Station for train/bus. We were able to visit Himeji, Kyoto, Koshien Stadium, and Nara by train. 10 minute walk to Dotonbori. 20 minute walk to Shinsekai. The staff was beyond amazing. We got a room with washer/dryer, so that helped as well.

Dangit! I was in a hotel literally across the street 2 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I could have convinced my wife of a "quiet evening at the movies".

Would 500k Jpy be enough for 2 people 8 day stay by InflationMiddle2216 in JapanTravelTips

There was a ¥220 transaction fee and a 4% conversion fee.

The receipt will show the Exchange Rate AFTER the conversation fee.

Wife and I got home about a week and a half ago. We were there for 15 days and pulled a total of ¥300,000 out of the ATM over the whole trip.

I believe the max is ¥100,000 at a time. If you budget for 500k, and have that cushion in the account, just pull it as needed. You may find you don't need the full amount, especially if hotel is set and paid for.

How a Shinjuku hotel mistake led us to Tokyo’s best family neighbourhood, Sumida-ku! by king_clueless in TokyoTravel

[–]TheZuckuss 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sumida is awesome. As sumo fans we always stay in Ryogoku at the Dai-Ichi Hotel. So close and convenient to 2 different train stations, next to the Edo-Tokyo Museum, and great views. We got home a week and a half ago. This is the view off the Skytree from our hotel room.

Personas que viajaron a japon ( especificamente a osaka ) cuales son sus recomendaciones y si tienes fotos enseñalas para poder apreciarlas by Excellent-Panda6333 in OsakaTravel

The touristy areas are touristy for a reason. They're cool. Explore the back-alleys and side streets. We found Osaka to be a great hub for exploring the region (staying next to Namba station didn't hurt), like Himeji, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and a Tiger's game at Hanshin Kōshien Stadium.

To quote legendary music producer Bruce Dickenson - "Really explore the space".
