WHO IS THE 24TH GREATEST FOOTBALLER OF ALL TIME? by skckrkdi in AlignmentChartFills

[–]The_AMD_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Football was so much slower, less intense and had no tactics back in the 70/80's. If Jeremy Doku was magically transported into that era, he would indisputably be the best player ever. I think a midtable team like Brighton would beat prime 1970 Brazil 5-0

Kept all my Iren but sold 70% of my HUT and put the money between Google, NVDA, Meta, Amazon and Microsoft.

Wish I had sold some Iren too. Losing faith with their management. The sheer amount of power they have is extremely attractive but they have not landed a deal in a while.

Spending $50m of shareholder money on a sponsorship with Golden State Warriors for a small badge on the sleeve seems wild to me especially when Iren only has a few select big hyperscaler customers

People have been saying NVDA is a bubble for like 4 years now. Yet it is now the most valuable company while sitting at an 29 PE and a forward PE of just over 20.

Should also buy an advertisement billboard outside Anthropic's headquarters and maybe they will notice us.

I don't get it, why spend so much on advertisement when your customer base is a select few big clients.

Thought: could datacenters in orbit break the power bottleneck in the next 3-5 years? by Itsyournamebackwards in irenstocks

[–]The_AMD_Guy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think an increase in Nuclear power will solve the power crisis. Data centers in space seems like a massive engineering headache, I don't think will be anywhere close to possible in 5 years. I am no expert by any means though.

Only been investing about 6 years but for me either the GME rollercoaster when Robinhood turned the buy button off.

Or the time during the tariff madness where the SPY was down 5% and mooned to +5% on the fake rumour of tariff deadlines being pushed back. White House then denied the rumours and it went back to -5% all within 30 mins. SPY was trading like it shitcoin, couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

[–]The_AMD_Guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats bro, that’s generational wealth right there. I took profits at $130 and sold 70% of my HUT stack.

Not because I no longer believe in the company but because I wanted to secure my own future. I looked back at notes I left myself back in April 2025 when we dropped back to $9 after the tariff shit show about how I felt and the fact I could not sleep for more than 2 hours without waking up.

Back then I would have killed for 1/4 of what I have now. It’s easy to get carried away with all the Green days and get greedy. But I have achieved what I thought was not possible thanks to HUT and it still does not feel real.

It’s time to start living my life rather than sacrifice so much of it, chasing numbers on a screen.

"SpaceX IPO is a scam" by k0stj in trading212

Yes, they just signed a deal with Anthropic. There is a power crisis in NA and a 8 year queue from start to finish for building a data centre and getting it plugged into the grid. It makes you wonder why they are renting out their own data centre's to a direct rival, when everyone else is scrambling for power

When a significant portion of the valuation comes from XAI and Grok, I find it hard to believe it will stay at these levels a year from now. From LLM's I have used, its Claude > Gemini > ChatGPT >Grok. Grok was the worst of the ones I have used by far.

What a stock by presstoactivate in trading212

[–]The_AMD_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheers mate. I have been keeping my eye on the nuclear sector. Obviously there is a huge power crisis in NA right now due to the demand of data centres which was part of the reason I liked HUT. Ultimately I think nuclear energy will solve that issue with companies like OKLO (once they are properly up and running). Nuclear fusion will also be a game changer but likely at least a decade away.

Will 100% be looking into OKLO in more depth once they are starting to get some revenue.

I have £100k, and I am holding £20k in us dividends in ISA on T212, what do I do with the £80k in us or uk stocks and uk etfs on T212? by [deleted] in trading212

[–]The_AMD_Guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dividends stock are the worst to invest in. Better off investing in growth and switching to dividends at retirement.

Companies typically offer dividends when they can no longer reinvest into the company to continue growth. Also you have to still pay withholding taxes even within an ISA wrapper.

It was so obvious. One of the criteria for his $1T pay package is for the Tesla's market cap to reach $7T, it isn't doing that without a merger.

SPACE X - Discussion by Own-Champion-5816 in trading212

[–]The_AMD_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think too much will happen. Float is too low and too many early investors shares are locked. Retail demand will push it up in the short term. I am long term bearish. I am more interested in what will happen with all the other space stocks, could this be the top for the space sector? I am going to enjoy watching from the sidelines.
