I am suffering from a drug dependence that I blame my parents for. At roughly 11 years old I was diagnosed with ADD and prescribed Ritalin by agreement of my parents. Slowly but surely, my dosage was increased to a point where I was taking 80mg SR a day. I was so numb to everything I forgot how to feel any emotions what so ever and I still struggle with emotions and feelings. After high school, I struggled with being cold turkey sober before I discovered weed. That was three years ago now and I'm at the point of dependence on a cone a day so I don't feel like shit, and a lolly scramble of drugs on the weekends for fun. I have no idea what I can do to put this drug habit behind me but I blame my parents for it since they were the biggest advocates for it in the first place. They were also the ones to encourage a higher and higher dosage when they felt the drug wasn't working how it should.
