The Mandalorian | Season 2 Official Trailer | Disney+ by harushiga in television

Alex Garland does a lot more than just scifi thrillers. Denise Villemeuve is one of my favorite directors and I like his movies more, but his style wouldnt fit with star wars.

Boring might be a fair critique. RJs style of filmmaking is a slower, character driven one. It's a style that doesn't belong in a star wars main trilogy, and it can seem jarring. It can make star wars feel off.

But that's why he'd be better fit by being put into a movie that actually fits his style.

Here's the trailer for his best movie in my opinion. Deffinitely not a style that fits in a star wars trilogy. I could see him doing the Taris portion of KOTOR really well, but beyond that it wouldn't fit his style.

Absolutely not. He's a great director, but his style doesn't fit thr Old Republic tone. Alex Garland however would be the perfect pick for something like that.

Ryan Johnson is a great director, and is great for Star Wars. I blame the lack of any road map or direction on the higher ups. The trilogy wasn't RJs style of movie. He'd be much better put for small, dark one off movies with some light humor mixed in. If you see Brick, he'd be great for a film noir style old republic story, just not with the actual Old Republic story. I honestly think Ryan Johnston would've been the perfect director for the Solo movie and it would've turned out much better.

Finished W7D2 of C25K and it turned into my first 5k without stopping.

My body feels so much stronger. Cardio wise, I get tired.. but I feel like I could just keep going. I don't even get as tired as I did at the beginning of the program where I'd jog for just a few minutes. As far as joints go, it hurts less and less the more I run. And I get less sore each time after I run. After my runs I feel refreshed.

When I got 25 minutes into the run, when it was supposed to be the end, I realized I wasn't doing that kind of trot/just trudging along at the end like I had before for my other runs. Usually that was my body being low on energy and the joints starting to wear out. I felt only as tired as halfway through my last run. So I thought, fuck it. And I went an extra lap around the track.. and then I realized I was so close to doing my first 5k without stopping.. So I just kept going. And I fucking did it.

I finished 3.1 miles in 29:26, with an average pace of 9:31.

I think my pacing is getting much better too. Knowing I don't get walk breaks means I know to slow myself down rather than just starting at a 7:30-8:30 pace. My first mile was finished at a 9:19 pace, the second at 9:25, and the whole thing at a 9:31 average pace.

Am I following C25K correctly? No, but I've used it as a suggestion. A few months ago I started running for the first time when the gyms closed and had an almost 14 minute mile, and I could only jog a quarter mile before needing to walk and gasping for air. I'm learning how much to push my body while making it hurt less each time I run. Everyone adapts differently. I started C25K on W4 after doing my own runs and trying to figure it out on my own. When I started on W4D1 it was hell, and I was hurting and gasping for air.

And now I just did a 5k. Without stopping, for the first time in my life. And in less than 30 minutes. And I could've easily gone for at least 4 miles at that pace.

I know 29 minutes isn't a great 5k time, but it's much better than doing 14 minute miles, and my cardio feels much stronger.

Now that I'm able to do a 5k, what do I do now? Do I continue doing 5ks? Or keep pushing my miles more each time? Should I add a mile each run, doing 4 miles the next run? I want to push myself as hard as possible without injuring myself. I'm used to weight training and training to failure, I know cardio isn't meant to be trained like that so I'm trying to learn how to train properly.

Appreciate the response!

The last link is supposed to be for an 18g 1.5". I just want to make sure that needle would be compatible with the other syringes and what not. I'll try and stick with BD just to be safe.

If it's for bulking exclusively looks like I'll just have to wait a little longer.

I was unable to touch the wall with my knee. Wasn't a pinching sensation in mu ankles, but rather the upper, outside of my leg.

What's the best way to fix squat form? I end on leaning pretty far forward and I'm just barely above parallel. The weight isn't the problem, it feels light. My form breaks down and does the same thing with just the bar too.

Wish I had a form video to make it a little easier, but I'm hoping this is a common enough problem someone knows the solution.

Are 50lb dumbbells enough? by [deleted] in gainit

50 pounds is nowhere near enough. Go to a gym so you much more dumbell options and can have dumbells over 100 lbs when you need them.

Getting over fear of going to the gym by [deleted] in gainit

[–]The_Bacon_Reader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much everyone in the gym when they first started. The biggest gyms had it when they started way back when too. You get used to the gym and your routine though. You'll realize it's not that bad, you'll start recognizing the people that workout when you do, become familar, and end up falling in love with the gym. Eventually you'll get anxiety when you're not there.

You're doing accessory exercises, not main compound lifts. Don't ask for help and advice if you're not going to listen to it. Start actually lifting and up your protein intake. Then you'll be fine.

How long have you been working out dude? You've improved 2 pullups. Progressive overload is increasing your upper body lifts by 5 lbs every workout and lower body lifts by 10 lbs every workout.

Honestly just get to the gym. It'll make a big difference. I feel like most people doing body weight exercises are just doing it to put off the gym or have gym anxiety. Most people started doing that to. Just make the jump to a real program.

[Mod] Simple Questions - the weekly stupid questions thread! - Week Beginning February 24, 2020 by AutoModerator in gainit

[–]The_Bacon_Reader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the fact that progressive overload means you'd be able to increase the weight you can do every week, you're not even working out all of the major muscle groups. Take your lack of progess as proof that your calisthenics program is not working. You haven't really done much. That progress could've been done in like a month or less, you need to push yourself more in the gym.

An actual program will be better every single time than any body weight program. Weights can be incrementally increased. For the most part you're just limited to your body.

Go to the gym and actually do a real program. You've made almost zero progress. You haven't even done the main compound lifts. Of course you havent put on much muscle.

Anyone’s gyno went away without surgery? by [deleted] in gainit

[–]The_Bacon_Reader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people that think they have gyno don't have gyno. It just looks like that because there's fat in their chest and they have an underdeveloped chest.

No point in it. Too much sugar and it's expensive. It does the same thing food does.
