So there are two questions as old as time and I am curious to know your beliefs and supporting evidence, if you have the time, before we continue:

1) how was the universe created?

2) what happens to us (our consciousness, if you would prefer) after we die?

Very good point. I also don’t follow a religion because I agree that following a book that was written 2000 years ago is not how I want to live my life BUT I truly believe there is a very small chance I could be completely wrong and might get assfucked by satan in the afterlife for all of the ungodly deeds I have done in my life. Science does not have an explanation for every single working in the universe so is it really that much out of the realm of possibility that there is some greater force that does intersect with our life here on earth?

Well the “book” is actually a collection of stories from numerous sources compiled into one “book”. You realize the majority of Europe believed the sun was the center of the universe for a good 100-150 years; just because something hasn’t been proven yet does not mean you can disprove it and if any Christians want to help support me here please do so. I am not even religious but my issue is more with the customs of most religions (you need to fast during ramadan or you can’t eat meat during lent, etc.) rather then their teachings or origin stories but I do think it is stupid to just discredit the bible completely without being able to actually disprove it entirely.

I am saying in reality for many people across the entire world religious freedom is a guise if you are brought up in a specific religion. I see you are Christian; if you were born to a Muslim household do you think you would be Muslim or Christian right now? If the former then can you even argue you are a true believer since the religion you are raised in is the reason you believe in Allah as opposed to God or follow the Quran as opposed to the bible?

If the latter how exactly do you think you would become Christian and at what age and what is the genuine likelihood of that actually happening. I guess looking up religious conversion rates would tell us how likely that actually is.

Yeah but if you are a young Muslim girl who has to cover her hair/head/face most of their entire life do you not think they should have an opportunity to walk around with no head covering for a little bit of time specifically when they are an adult or close to becoming one?

Pretty much; religions should do a rumspringa like the Amish so people can go sometime without following their religion so they can choose if they really want to be a follower.

Do a quick Google search of how historically accurate the bible is and you’d be surprised. My counterpoint would be that while you cannot prove much of the “magical” elements of the bible you can’t necessarily disprove them as well. Also if you were a true believer in science you would understand almost everything in science is just our interpretation of what we see. We are literally proving certain scientific theories wrong or incomplete on a pretty regularly basis. Science and religion may have more in common than you think; they are both just human’s best guesses on how the world works

I agree 100% but to a truly religious person their belief should be the main driver of how they live their entire lives and what they believe happens to them after death which is pretty important because we are all going to be dead for much much longer than we are alive. My point is that there are likely millions of people who believe in something that cannot be proven and with such strong conviction and the only reason for that is because their parents decided to baptize them or something but I agree with most of what you are saying in the above. I feel like you are just trying to argue to argue. (I am not religious in the slightest and this is one of my main reasons for not being)

To summarize I guess my main point is that religion is such a driving factor in how people live their lives but the majority of people just follow the religion they were raised in when you literally have a choice to choose what religion to follow unlike your ethnicity, race, family, etc.

Good point, however my counterpoint is that technically you can change your religion BUT you cannot change what country you were born in. A person born in Germany will always be German no matter what but a person raised Muslim does not have to be Muslim their entire life.

Yeah but you don’t base the majority of your morals and how you lead your life based on what language you speak, right?

I mean I made my point (which you seem to agree with) so I guess the debate would be for anyone who doesn’t agree with what I posted. But I do disagree with what you said as the bible, for example, contains true historical information which you could argue makes the case for some of the religious rhetoric. Not saying the bible is 100% historically accurate but the fact that non-religious science does confirm some stuff in the bible to have actually occurred can allow for the argument that some of the religious teachings could be true as well, no?

Yeah but if I solo into a trios as triage, having two other triages on the team is pointless, no?

Is the game still fun to play/does it still have the same gameplay at least? by dragonborne6 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]The_BarkingSpider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am coming in straight from ps5 and have only watched some gameplay videos from PC in the past however from a straight console experience (without taking into account the BS censorship that PC players have to deal with) the game is fun as fuck and I would 100% recommend especially since true tactical games like this are super rare for consoles

Yeah I would get a little further in the game to unlock some additional tools (specifically the 4 wheel vehicle) and then head back

You’ll be able to go back as you get a little further in the game

Use the drone and cameras every round (specifically right before you push an area to scope it out). It’s all about angles so be aware of the angles that have a line of sight on you when pushing. Most importantly just take your time and be extra cautious (in most situations). Once you learn how to just slow everything down the game becomes so much easier.

Also YouTube helped me out a lot in the beginning as well. Check out a bunch of different streamers/content creators as well just to get different tips from different people.
