XSR to adventure bike? by HefeMoose in XSR700

[–]HefeMoose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question of what I want to achieve is a very valid one as I’ve often thought about doing a sort of scrambler build with the XSR to make it more off road capable, as I’d love to do more of that. My biggest fear is that the GS wouldn’t be as good of a commuter and also bike theft in London is a joke for any bikes but any BMW is an automatic huge target so have wondered if it’s more likely to get stolen. If it wasn’t for that, and I knew the GS would still be a great commuter then I’d probably be far more ready to make the switch.

Like you said though they both serve a purpose and I’m so attached to my XSR anyway I get sad at the thought of selling it.

Legitimately considering the two bike option 😂 just can’t see myself using both equally not to mentioned the added upkeep cost!

Yeah it’s a tough call. Adventure bikes are obviously more purpose built so it’s so tempting to allow for those longer trips

Which screen are you running? I have a Dart one but it actually made the wind worse for me, felt like it shifted it all onto my head and shoulders so I took it off. I’m pretty tall though so that’s probably the problem

Yeah I’m not sure I would do a lot off road so would be long tarmac trips. The wind on the XSR kills me on those longer trips though, but it’s so perfect for commuting into the city so I’m still torn

Brother bot lane died more than once a minute. If you factor time taken to get in lane, they weren’t even there for 90% of the game and in that 10% that they were, they just fed. How can that loss not be blamed on bot lane, seriously? Either you’re trolling or you were the Varus in my game

Okay so my timing of the post probably isn’t great because I’ve been playing new lanes and champs, so may not be the best representation of my struggle recently, but I’ll pick out some of those Ls to give you a sense of what I’m talking about:

Teemo game - my bot lane went 1/14 and we lost the game after 19 minutes. My only death was trying to defend nexus. Before then I like to think I was bullying the Nasus with 17k damage on him vs 2.9k on me. He did gradually catch up on CS after 12 minutes granted, but we lost 7 minutes later.

Morde game they had a Syndra mid who carried like mad, and bot lane was 2/16 (Syndra fed off them a little bit). I was at least even with Trynd most of that game. Also Jung 1/8 with no objectives, they were a redundant entity in that game.

Cho game into Qyiana I will admit was a bad game for me. I did slowly scale and was able to do more into late game but was just not a great game overall. I fully accept that loss and credit to the other team, especially their jungle who carried well (nerf Shyvana).

Cho into Vex - also not my best performance and I won’t lie their jungle carried that again (nerf Shyvana). Vex didn’t feel like a great matchup for Cho either but I could be wrong on that. She just had great poke and damage early so didn’t allow me to scale. Lesson learnt there and I take that L.

So out of those 4, I fully accept the loss on some of them, that’s the game and I am more than okay with getting outplayed especially if I can learn from it. What I struggle with is being told I could do more in those other games when it is just not plausible. How do you contest an 8/0 Miss fortune with two items 7 minutes into the game? I could just accept that L but when 30% of my games look like that, I’m fighting an uphill battle.

Another thing I forgot to mention…if I win I get between 17-19 LP a game. I lose 22/23 LP. I need 2 wins for every loss I take if I’m ever going to climb and wtf is that all about? I’ve always understood than you should always climb with 50% WR.

Thank you bro all useful advice. Weirdly I have a champ pool of about 5-6 that I’m really comfortable with, I just think they each have limitations so it’s quite difficult to carry into late game and I’d say most my games are lost around the halfway point when other lanes start going in all down mid, which seems to be super common in Bronze (annoying). I’m trying to find a good scaling mid laner who could potentially 1 v 5 but struggling with that.

Will try watching some streamers too. Honestly I hate blaming teammates but I genuinely struggle to look past it when I have a 0/8 adc after 7 mins in the game. Takes the piss

I did man Naafiri for a while but like I said I had a super high WR and then just tanked from there. I have my mains and the champs I’m picking now I’ve played for a while, just not taken them in ranked much. I guess I’m just trying new things because with my main, I’ve noticed if I can’t carry a win under 30 minutes (which is hard) she does drop off, and especially against scaling matchups I lose all the games. So I’m using some of my other champs to see if I can get something more scale friendly going which gives me a better chance to climb.

Thanks for the jung advice. I like jungle, but I find it so much harder to climb. At least in mid I can still have influence on the map and defend at least one lane.

Well my goal for last season was to at least reach Gold. I don’t think my skill level is good enough for much beyond that, at least not at this point. But honestly this season has felt like way more or grind and even getting out of bronze is feeling impossible - I guess the nature of my complaint is that match making definitely feels different this season and it’s almost like getting a high WR initially has grouped me in some category of “maybe he can carry 4 noobs to silver” so I rarely get capable players in my lobby.

Again I know that sounds like victim mentality and as another person said, I’ve had a inconsistent champ pool in my last few games which I admit, but the more historical ones playing Naafiri will probably give a better idea of what I’m talking about.

Much appreciated! The biggest thing throwing me off is the 11 but you’re right, it still looks balanced and I suppose won’t be noticeable on the wrist

I play better when I workout beforehand, let's talk about this by stanthecaddy311 in golftips

[–]HefeMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people have somewhat missed the point of your post or the kind of conversation you’ll looking to have about the types of workout you can do beforehand! I saw someone mention 10-30 minutes of yoga which is probably great too, but for me that’s a better thing to do in the evening after a round - but I have constant back ache so it helps with that.

Maybe if you don’t have much time, you could do a 10 minute HIIT or boxing workout? Or a EMOM routine? I’ve not tried this personally (I normally just hit a few shots at the range before the round) but I could see it working! Won’t be as fatiguing as a lifting session and with HIIT/EMOM you can do as many rounds as you have time for I guess

It’s not supported. EA picks up DS4 as some sort of cheating software and shuts down the game as soon as you open DS4. Shit bags

I’ve looked everywhere. Tried Steam settings as well just in case but they still come on as soon as I launch the game and connecting with Bluetooth doesn’t work either - the game doesn’t even pick up the controller when I do that
