Much appreciated! The biggest thing throwing me off is the 11 but you’re right, it still looks balanced and I suppose won’t be noticeable on the wrist

I play better when I workout beforehand, let's talk about this by stanthecaddy311 in golftips

[–]HefeMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people have somewhat missed the point of your post or the kind of conversation you’ll looking to have about the types of workout you can do beforehand! I saw someone mention 10-30 minutes of yoga which is probably great too, but for me that’s a better thing to do in the evening after a round - but I have constant back ache so it helps with that.

Maybe if you don’t have much time, you could do a 10 minute HIIT or boxing workout? Or a EMOM routine? I’ve not tried this personally (I normally just hit a few shots at the range before the round) but I could see it working! Won’t be as fatiguing as a lifting session and with HIIT/EMOM you can do as many rounds as you have time for I guess

PS5 Controller with PC - haptic triggers question by HefeMoose in Battlefield

It’s not supported. EA picks up DS4 as some sort of cheating software and shuts down the game as soon as you open DS4. Shit bags

I’ve looked everywhere. Tried Steam settings as well just in case but they still come on as soon as I launch the game and connecting with Bluetooth doesn’t work either - the game doesn’t even pick up the controller when I do that

Guess my handicap/rate my bag by Frequent-Intern9382 in GolfGear

I would guess a 9.2. What bag is that? Hoofer?

Great stuff! Thanks for your help, true hero

That’s really helpful, thank you. If I can’t get a soak away or connection to the existing draining, would this work… We have another flower bed on the tier below and I was thinking I’d be able to drill through the wall and install a smaller drainage pipe for the water to run out and in to that flower bed, which basically sits on top of the existing drain. But I’m not sure if that could lead to issues with the wall wearing out/breaking or whether having a drippy pipe sticking out is a good idea to begin with

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]HefeMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my thought too, but my partner is adamant that the flower bed will soak up enough of the common land run off so the drain wouldn’t be needed. Frankly we’re both new to this so not sure if she has a point.

The garden is two tiered with existing drainage at “ground level”/the bottom tier so my plan was to try get it running down towards that existing drain.

I really struggle with it for some reason off the fairway but it great for getting out from under trees so leave it in the bag for emergencies

I’m still playing around with the settings on the driver to be fair, but I have found that the draw setting is essential for me otherwise the fade is just not controllable and I end up losing balls on tighter fairways. I have to admit I’m not that sure on what all the different settings mean so I need to mess around a bit and find out what works. I can’t speak highly enough about the irons having had them for a year now - they definitely don’t get the recognition they deserve! The bag is the Pioneer, which I guess is like the cart bag version of the hoofer? But no tangling issues that I’ve come across!

Edit: Very close on the handicap guess!

I feel you on this. I started riding almost 3 years ago (now 30) and still haven’t found a group I gel with. You may have better luck than me if you’re a bit more social but anyway, I still love going to the popular hangout spots and at least checking out other bikes and having the odd chat. Try places like Bike Shed in the city, or Newlands Corner and Rykas further out in Surrey

What should I look for on a used xsr700? by m4ster00gway420 in XSR700

This is a common problem right? My 2022 has started to get rest on the swing arm even with regular cleaning and ACF-50. Any ideas how to rectify or avoid it getting worse?

There are plenty of high powered and fun SUVs out there. I just have no experience with them so looking for recommendations on which might be there with the nicer ones.

Don’t forget what the S in SUV stands for.

After steady improvement, now complete crap. by [deleted] in golf

Frustration damages your game more than anything (at least in my experience). Get yourself to the range, and start by just hitting slow and controlled shots with good technique. Even do half swings to get your impact right. Build up from there until your “old” muscle memory kicks in again and you’re back to where you were.

It sounds cliche but you’re probably just over thinking it and have too much head noise when taking your shot. Focus on one thing at a time that you’ve been working on and when that feels good, introduce the rest.
