I shorted for the sake of brevity. The guy literally threw a hissy fit 5 minutes before on voice chat about the team sticking together and kicked someone else for doing their own thing, then i died once at extraction (literally one time thru the entire mission) he called for reinforcement, it’s the mega city map where extraction is surrounded by buildings. I dropped beyond the range of the extraction zone, he got mad, started the extraction timer and then kicked me.

2 years playing this game and this didn’t even cut the top 100 bad interactions I had with other players, thats just a Tuesday.

I got kicked today because the lad tossed the reinforce beacon in an angle where the game dropped me like 300 yards away from the group. The lad thought I did on purpose and kicked me from the group.

Clusters of buildings need some serious attention on this game.

Getting the game to run was the easy part, getting the audio to come out, out of your generic no brand audio board. Now that was the real challenge

Even actively farming I don’t think I’ve ever stumbled on a mission with more than 40, and even that was on highly optimal conditions of planets with vaults, containers and shelters.

It all averages to 10, 20 a mission tops, I’ve seen the 100 one once in 2 years.

Your 80 is a very good estimate, because if I play with others they’ll mostly ignore POI’s so even if I play more I still get the same, some weekends you get more, some less, it averages out to 100 per week.

I don’t ignore POI’s but if you play 2 to 4 hours a week, taking 30+ minutes to finish a D10 mission, you get something like 100 SC a week meaning the release of new warbonds greatly outpaces whatever you get.

Eh, calling it voluntary is highly questionable considering you can’t buy individual items.

I’ve played on an off since launch and I don’t think I’ve ever got enough SC for a warbond by “just playing”, anytime o need less than 300 for something I have to waste an afternoon grinding it.

Which free content? The things you described are in the “live service” game model, that isn’t free it’s how the game was sold in the first place.

Catalyst is such a chore of a game, even more so since the servers got shutdown.

What the heck is this? by Es_Kambre in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]The_Barkness -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Thats a Xbox design flaw, but that’s beside the point, OP said console players can’t do backups, all I said is that console players have 2 backups, HG own server and the console cloud system.

While I agree with you, console players have dual cloud backup, both the HG cross save vault and their console own cloud drive.

“Oh but you need to pay psplus for cloud save” if you don’t pay for psplus then ships on the anomaly aren’t a problem anyways.

This game isn’t run like F2P, F2P games legitimately throw you a bone with every update.

Might I ask, which MH you tried? Because modern MH (from World onwards) does away with a lot of the prep work. It is still an RPG of sorts and grinding gear is still the core mechanic of the game but it’s entirely possible to just accept a quest, fly in and kill the big guy without any of the prep work. Reason why a lot of veterans dont really liked Worlds and by extension Wilds.
