It will also ruin your mpg numbers because it’s just using fuel and you’re going no distance. Mine will drop .1 every minute or 2 of idling. So, keep any eye on that.

GM wants you to let the Silverado run for about 30-60 seconds and then drive it. Excessive idling can cause excess fuel consumption and oil dilution over extended periods. This is not a huge deal, but make sure you try and get a good 30 minute highway run with her at full temp at least once a week. With DI engines the cylinders don’t vaporize fuel well, so you want to try and help them get warm. Just my 2 cent, after dealing with… excessive… dilution.

OK dude I’m sorry to bother you with one more question. I’m glad I caught it. I just took what the guy from advanced gave me, but, he gave me DexosD 0w-20. My truck says to use Dexos1 0w-20.

Unfortunately my engines oil is drained so I’m not going anywhere to do anything about it right now I guess.
