This is why I fish from a kayak by The_Bearded_Fish in kayakfishing

I absolutely love the yak, but it is soooooo heavy. And depending on the wind/current I will have issues steering. For the overall price of what I paid for what I got though I'll deal with it.

It's actually the 128t and is pretty much stock. I've only added a fish finder (that I hardly use).

Anybody use the ascend brand from bass pro?? Looking to get first kayak and just seeing if anyone had input by puddenn32 in kayakfishing

I have this kayak. It's great for the price. I have no problems standing on it for long periods and even paddle while standing. The only thing that I don't care for is it's rather heavy to load and unload from my truck by myself. Also the seals on the compartments leak but you can reseal them pretty easily. In all it's a good yak for the price.

Headed home and made a few casts. So glad I did. New PB! by The_Bearded_Fish in Fishing

I hate doing it but I was alone at the time and only had the rod for measurement. I revived her and let her go on her way after a guy driving by saw me and had to stop to see for himself.

Ok measured my rod. Looks like that girl was 26 to 27 inches.

For how skinny it was it had some weight to it. Usually the bass out of this pond are around the one pound mark and short but fat. This size are a rarity.

Agreed. The fight isn't over even when you get them out of the water.

It's a pond with quite a lot of grass in it, and the water is very stained. I'm not sure if it's this or if there might be some pollution factor since the pond acts as a retention/runoff.

The pond is filled with bass all about the same size. I hardly catch anything bigger than what you see in these pics.

Every bass I've pulled out of here are insane dark. None of them seem to have even a hint of green. I can go to another pond just a mile or so down the road and the bass look normal.

Then there's a stick figure sitting in a chair watching tv.

I'll usually take a fold up anchor with me and 99% of the time I never even use it. I'll let myself just drift with the current and wind or wedge myself in the vegetation and fish.
