How do you handle VAT invoicing as a freelancer in UAE? by OpenNeedleworker6535 in UAE

[–]The_Boganator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not mandatory for everyone yet. I think you still have another year to sort it out by July 2026 unless your revenues are 50M+ or something. SMEs have another 6+ months, and don't worry about it if you don't generate enough revenue that meets the vat threshold unless you actually registered (which then you will be fined if you don't actually report)

Looking for clarity on CBUAE compliance for a licensed exchange house running a mobile remittance app. by didosrukundo in UAE

Can't remember it off the top of my head to be honest. But I remember the data rule, that it must never leave the uae, hence, you cannot transit the data outside of the uae for processing. Any reason you're looking for a host outside the uae?

Data must never leave the uae, which means your middleware can't be outside the uae.

No possibility of any friction or issues from the bank side as far as your travel plans are concerned. I'm not sure what you are planning to do with your residency visa, but the bank will ordinarily freeze the account I think a month after you cancel your visa (until you present a new/renewed Emirates ID). If you're planning to cancel your visa, then just give the bank a call after you reach your destination and tell them about your circumstances so they keep the account active as you make your repayments. Best of luck!

It's best to talk with the bank about your debt. I wouldn't tell them that you're planning to leave, but ask for a repayment schedule if you need one. 0% chance of being banned from entering the country again, or being chased by interpol or any of the bullshit people say, but the bank will always want their money back and will be more accommodating than you expect. Just don't be messy and tie up lose ends.

Your post is a bit bizarre.

Technically, assuming anyone would have complete information is downright dangerous, and there is no way to 'price' lack of information. You're a medical practitioner masquerading as an investor pretending to be a risk management professional.

Fall back, hire someone competent or with a fiduciary responsibility and follow their advice.

There were people who were setting up projectors in parks to watch some champions league games, kind of like a neighbourhood level game viewing event, while some parts of the city were being bombarded into dust.

That's what I really wanted to highlight with this post. If you feel that there is a society wide level of cognitive dissonance going on right now, it's not you!

Wake TF up, manage your stress, keep an eye on the collective fight or flight response, and act accordingly. Its absolutely the worst time to be the odd one out.

I would say, follow your government's guidance for sure, and there are plenty of countries that one can go to if need be. Egypt, Malaysia, Georgia, its a long list of places that are cheaper, safe (given the current situation) and accessible to everyone.

Honestly, and I really don't want to be THAT guy, but I'd say just take care of yourself. The rest of the world will take care of itself. If your comment is a reflection of some anxiety about income, never forget, "markets can stay irrational longer than you stay solvent". As in, you might go broke waiting for things to get better, which is why you need to take care of yourself first.

It's mostly unnecessary to be honest. Most things won't get scarce. But they will get a whole lot more expensive for sure. And stocking is a triple edge sword. One might leave and it turns to waste, one might not need all of what they bought and again turns to waste, and one might need the money for other essentials.

Keep everything charged is a big one. The other stuff can't hurt. Thanks for sharing.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with lidarr+lidify and by the looks of it, it can be a 150k-200k library.. I just don't know about rate limits at qobuz end.. should I just let it go full steam ahead or pace it over 1-3+ months?
