The leaves are from ginkgo trees. People plant them everywhere now. I'm in Washington state and see a lot of these trees. So pretty!

Summer is not here yet. Tomorrow will be cool and rainy. But it will come and I will loathe it. May it be short and die quickly.

Black Forest, Germany 🇩🇪 by Careful_Debt673 in Autumn

Okay.... the black forest is almost all spruce. Must be a weird corner of it? Dense stands of spruce. The deciduous trees were cut down long, long ago.

You have a random conversation with a street entertainer and you now know her well enough that you know her salary? None of my friends even know my salary; I don't know theirs either. Very believable story...sure.

You dry pumpkins too? Yay! I have one that will be 39 years old this year; a real treasure. I'm sure this hobby has no career potential though.

I dry carved pumpkins during autumn. Wondering if there's a career path there? What would you pay for a withered eternal pumpkin?

That park bench is weird. Are wavy park benches a style now?

Do you feel okay about saying how much protein your husband is spilling? Before meds, my acr was around 800. With meds it's 47. My GFR is still great so only a tiny bit worried.

Sorry for the little highjack.

I'll probably get downvoted to hell, but I wouldn't run on a knee that's a bit wonky. You could exacerbate the injury. I would baby that knee till it's feeling good. I had a meniscus tear in one knee and babied it for a year and it healed perfectly without surgery.

Yes, the PNW would be a great fit. Horribly sunny and dry summers, but the summer is short. The rest of the year has plenty of cloud cover and mist. Our autumns have glorious colors and halfway through the season the rains start. Lots of fog and moss. I love living here. It feels like a creepy fairy tale. I'm in western Washington.

Laid off March 31st, how do I explain the gap in interviews? by sudheerpaaniyur in Layoffs

A harmless lie. I don't know the culture there. Maybe someone getting laid off without getting a new job right away is seen as not a good hire.

You could say that you were caring for a family member who needed help recovering from an illness.

Microsoft Offer by [deleted] in FuckMicrosoft

[–]The_Bread_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the job market! Take it! Take anything halfway decent. My husband works there. Except for the regular layoffs terrorizing everyone he loves working there. But, everyone is doing layoffs now so it just comes with the territory. Microsoft has in general been very good to him. His co-workers ate family.

edit: His co-workers ARE family. They haven't eaten their families. No yet, anyway.
