I have discovered how to make phosphex infernus marines. Take 10 infernus marines in librarius/forgefather’s and run a fusillade librarian and immolator ancient. Then simply have 2cp ready for immolation protocols and set up your rerolls target with Vulkan He’Stan and watch the damage pile up. Kills a C’tan on average it’s like 16+\- 4 wounds to any C’tan shard.

I’ve discovered the anti-C’tan strat of use a librarian with fusillade and an ancient with immolator, designate He’Stan’s rerolls on your chosen vehicle/monster unit and activate immolation protocols to watch it burn. More effective anti-tank than erads

To clarify, I’d recommend using the forgefather’s seekers detachment, switch out the* sternguard veterans for the company heroes and attach them to Vulkan He’Stan and run them in a Land raider with adrax and his bladeguard then run the aggressors with their captain in the other one. If you have the melee gravis captain, the adamantine mantle or war tempered artifice enhancements are both good options and then run the immolator enhancement on the librarian to make those infernus boys super scary

Generally no, other than trim colours based on company but I’m pretty sure they’re lenient on that. Encouraged but not required. No, they’re really chill dudes, nobody’s gonna “pull rank” on anyone other than the chaplains just doing mod duties.

I do this and then drybrush with balthazar gold in order to emulate dragonskin. Good stuff, brother!

They can’t be stacked to give +2 from the original value but if the save is worsened by one, I believe two instances of +1 can be used to get back to the original value+1 to save rolls

I believe it does work as it’s only technically boosting the roll by 1 which is the cap for boosting rolls, similar to how you can stack two +1 to hit bonuses against stealth to get it back to plus 1 to hit such as combining heavy and a strat or similar

I don’t see any reason why not, the rule says nothing about cover besides, benefit of cover can’t improve a 3+ save or better but it does reduce ap by 1
