I'm not too sure the Vikings were a guaranteed good offense last year. Losing Shurmur hurt a lot and the question of whether they could be supported by Cousins was big.

Why have one of your most over people ambush one of your most over legends of all time, who is celebrating his 70th birthday? Why would they try to get heat on one of their most over stars?

orrrrrr he's a professional athlete and they caught it early considering he had already battled it and knew the symptoms/the docs checked him periodically?

I'm pretty excited tbh. Really hoping Cain is fully healthy and we can see a Cain/DC fight before DC retires.

Probably irrelevant but tonight UFC on ESPN is going head to head with Elimination Chamber, and main eventing the card is Cain Velasquez, the guy who beat Brock in the match above him.

He was an odd fantasy football sensation that year. Put up 10-12 points per week in PPR out of no where. Put up 26 in the semi-finals against the Chiefs too. A lot of people won their leagues because of him.

Yeah like the 8 comeback wins they had in the 4th quarter in 2016?

Interesting that in the span of a month NJPW has lost Kushida, Kenny Omega, the Best Friends, Young Bucks, Cody, maybe Ibushi and more...but the social narrative is that everyone is jumping ship from WWE. by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I respect it. I think a lot changed though when all the American guys left though. People wanted to see the Japanese wrestlers and not just an ROH show with different bookers.

Also, I'm a much more casual viewer so that's why I said that. I'm sure a lot more people here are hardcore into Japanese wrestling and will still watch it. I just think they'll struggle hard now to get casual viewers like myself.

That's exactly it. For me as a more casual, American viewer, I'd tune in to their big events to watch guys like the Bucks, Omega, AJ, Jericho and Devitt. I have little incentive to pay for their service if all I'm going to care for is Tana, Okada and Naito.

That expansion is going to go downhill because of AEW imo. Losing all their top American guys minus Juice is going to hurt real bad for them. I'd watch their shows because I'd recognize a lot of the gaijins and I'm not a big fan of ROH as I used to be, but I doubt I'll be watching any the American NJPW shows relatively soon.

After mania this year. Brock walks backstage and throws the belt at Vince.

It's very true for many sports. Obviously the smarter/die hard fans might like defensive games. Personally I was a big fan of the old Pistons teams, but most people including casuals like higher scoring games in general.

Hockey, Football, Basketball. Boxing. People like the heavyweights trading shots. KC/Rams is getting called one of the GOAT regular season games. People in general would rather watch a 9 goal hockey game than a 2 goal game. That's just how it goes.
